They “reportedly” have a director. Nothing has been confirmed by Lucasfilm.

But I wish it was.

Objectively I think Empire and others are better movies than TLJ, but TLJ is easily my favorite.

 

ESB is a clear #1 for me.

ANH/TFA fight out for two and three pretty often.

ROTJ is now fighting as well TLJ. TLJ has a good chance at surpassing ROTJ, which if it does, then means It's up against ANH. I dunno what happens there.

Rogue One is great, I really like that movie, but I almost view it separately than the others.

It's weird I feel like RO has kind of gotten underrated already, it's like everything I want from Star Wars now - huge action, nostalgic, on the gritty side. Felt modernized in a way that neither of these other two new ones has totally hit yet.

ANH vs TFA depends how much you weigh the originality factor, I think. TFA does almost all of it better but I'm tempted to penalize it for flat out recycling the Death Star and its subsequent destruction.

Yeah thinking more about it I might move III past Rogue One.

 

I enjoyed The Watch and The Weekly Planet's discussions of the film. They both give pretty positive reviews but aren't afraid to acknowledge the flaws.

Luckily for you, the fcc recently did you a solid in that regard. Otherwise, you were gonna be waiting a looooong time.

 

The fact that people are seriously speculating about Broom Boy’s origins/significance seriously explains the negative reaction to this movie better than words ever could.

 

there's no Wilhelm Scream in this album, definitely knocks it down a few pegs imo

 

My hot take is I'd rather watch III again before RO. I saw the latter twice and didn't like it either time, where III is somewhat tolerable.
