Fair enough. I'm used to him and the scripts they tend to use on that channel. I've been watching Collider Jedi Council for almost 2 years on a weekly basis and it's one of my favorite shows.

I'm 32 years old, so not sure that age has much to do with it.

Well got my first IRL friend hot take.

"Star Wars is dead, Disney fuck up everything they touch"

    "Did you see Spider-Man Homecoming??"

"Well obviously they got that right, they just had to make him a kid"

    I physically hurt right now

Ken is much better in the context of Star Wars on Force Center.

  7. As I said, I'm not the target audience at all for this pivot to video YouTube-everything world. No one would ever write a legit story that leads with: here's what Rian Johnson said are the deleted scenes, and then when you list the second one write, "well, this is just a rumor, Rian didn't say this one..." without an editor losing their mind.

Yea, I don’t like the Collider style when it comes to videos like that.

Yeah its bad. I spent about an hour or two with my friends listing out every inconsistency. Every implausibility. Every hole. Every thing that shouldnt have happened. I found myself arguing about stupid shit and mad at myself for even having to defend a fantasy sci fi adventure.

Its why Im thankful for this site. I can actually have an intellectual conversation about you know...the movie, even if others didnt like it.

From someone who hates Raimi's Spider-Man films, Spider-Man giving bad nicknames to villains is always awesome, no exceptions.

And, I totally dig Finn engaging in the same activity.

Thats awesome. Id love to meet them someday. Jedi Council and Collider in general has definitely been a huge factor of me falling in love with cinema recently. Love the channel.

I enjoy more of the Schmoes stuff, but Collider is essentially the Schmoes, so I see a lot of that , too.

I got to meet a bunch of them during Celebration after Mark Ellis did a set at the Improv. He and those of the crew who also went to the show hung out at the bar after the show.

So rad man. We should definitely have a Celebration Chorus meetup for the next one. I can't believe we don't get one in 2018, that was one of the best experiences of my entire life.

I got to meet Rian in the lineup for TLJ panel when he came overnight to sign and meet everyone. He's truly one of the most humble, likable people in the world. I'm so happy for his success. Brick is still one of my favorite movies ever and I told him as much at Celebration (while he was in the crowd, not when I had my 1-on-1 meet with him) and he called me out of the crowd and hi-fived me and said, "Thanks so much that means a lot."

Be kind, this was after being up for about 72 hours with 3 hours of sleep total.

Some thoughts on Rey’s parents it has to be someone significant. I don’t think things could stand as they are. This has to be a catalyst to something more. The way Kylo denounced them is really what confirms it for me. Not sure how it plays out and I’m sure more misdirection will be applied.

Also, now that I’ve had more time to think about it, I really think that Snokes death had to happen. The focus is Kylo. There is no need for him now. I just wonder when he will take out Hux. I’m a little surprised he hasn’t yet.

Yeah Schmoes too and Campea now as well. You watch the schmoedown at all? I find it weird how entertained by a movie trivia competition i am.

Me too. It made me wonder if I could maintain my cheesy sense of humor in a life or death situation. Probably not.

Really want to be at celebration 2019 for the debut of the 9 Trailer. Also really want to witness Daisy Ridley with my own two eyes.

One of the big ideas of this movie is that anyone can be the hero, despite coming from nothing. Walking back on who her parents were would be so dumb.

From what I recall, Rey is the one who said it, not Kylo. He just agreed with her after she realized it on her own.

Since day 1. I had just started watching Schmoes back when they started it up with Ken vs Katee.

I can’t wait for the Spectacular

We reach for the longest shadow

Rey's parents don't have to be significant. It was in an article with Rian posted earlier, but he basically said that in the same way that Vader being Luke's father was the worst outcome at the time for Luke, so is Rey's family being nobodies. I'll be really upset if the reneg that, because the scene with her and Kylo was so strong, and it would make that scene basically useless if it comes out they ARE somebodies.

Also, it opens the door for the kid using the force to move the broom at the end to be somebody as well. It isn't a bloodline thing. Good will always be there to combat evil.

EDIT: With that said though... why does Kylo say, "It is you." when he is first fighting Rey on Star Killer Base?
