Also I think the Leia space flight scene was the lamest thing I’ve seen in a long time.

I didn’t like the idea in general but my god was the cgi/effect hokey.
I’ve seen a lot of people in this thread defend it with “how else would force transport in the vacuum of space look” but I think deep down they know that was really stupid looking. lol

I can’t wait for x mas this year. I know my family is gonna have a lot of Hot takes at the dinner table.

it just doesn’t bother me, idk why. I just felt like damn this music is beautiful and it’s cool that are finally seeing her ability.

Yeah, everything about it looked dumb, I think there could have been better ways for her to use the force in that instance. Maybe she plugs the hole with a force barrier or inadvertently covers the hole with debris and somehow gets knocked out in the process. I think the adrenaline and life endangering event would be enough for her to unconsciously use the force.

i definitely caught James Corden in it though! i almost made a joke to my girlfriend saying "that was James Corden" because the person looked just like him... funny that it actually is.

Would love this. My favorite Star Wars stuff growing up was the bounty hunters and gangsters.

Id love to have a movie just about an interesting bounty hunter who reports to a dark side leader.

The score is like the movie, almost nonstop action lots of movement... themes thrown in like crazy..you’ll hear Rey’s, Kylos, and leias theme within minutes of each other

That’s kind of why I’m I am not as big on it as I was TFA’s. This brilliantly revisits other scores to fit the moments, but I haven’t found anything new that is anywhere near the level of hearing Rey’s theme for the first time.

On top of it transporting her it also protected her from the extreme elements of space. Thats some serious shit!

Just looking at the cast list on IMDB, Gareth Edwards (Rogue One director) plays a Resistance Trench Soldier

Edgar Wright should've written/directed the Han Solo film. He'll probably never do try to do another major studio pic (especially with Disney), which I don't blame him for at all, but he would've been a great choice for it.

Rose's theme is nice... but yea. idk theres not a TON of original material here. its still a really enjoyable score, but TFA gave us Kylo;s theme, rey's theme, last jedi steps, the march of the resistance, xwing scherzo.. yea i listened to that soundtrack a good 30 times straight through which is way more than what I usually would. I've only been through TLJ soundtrack once.

Ok. I don't know what the guy looks like and was misinformed. No need to be so curt.

I merely corrected you. I didn’t think it required more than a simple statement of the fact. It’s just saying, “no, that guy is that guy”.

My favorite small moment:The fakeout of a spaceship landing that turns out to be an iron.

Worst throwaway line: Finn calling Phasma "Chrome-dome." It reminded me of when Tobey Spider-Man called Green Goblin "Gobby" upon first fighting him.

I did not like the chrome dome line either now that I think about it, but it didn't take away from the scene at all, just seemed like a dumb dialogue choice.

As it was happening I was like "This looks like an iron." I was moments away from leaning over and making a comment to my father about it.

If Phasma’s suit is blaster-proof, why don’t they make all the storm trooper suits out of the same material?
