Was Yoda a puppet or CG?

 

Probably will have to wait for a good Blu-ray to extract them from. The stuff at the end has at least four or five.

 

so I was 99% sure with TFA that Rey was in Lukes jedi academy because she had the flashbacks

but now we know that she can see events and things that shes not physically present for because shes sensitive to the force and probably picking up the lightsaber in TFA triggered the flashbacks.

That coupled with Luke not knowing who she is in TLJ would suggest she had never had jedi training and that really shes just an extremely powerful force sensitive person whos kickass at using a saber and flying the Falcon in a pinch on her very own.

Everyone agree?

I think we see glimpses of her potential but she can’t fully use her abilities yet

 

Yeah I’m going to wait a week or two to see it again. Let absence make the heart grow fonder, and let the crowds die down a bit. Enjoy though!

Are we supposed to believe that Kylo killing Rey is what snoke meant by “completing his training” in tfa?

 

I assumed that he intended for him to actually train more, but since this picked up basically right when TFA ended he never had time to do anything more than berate Kylo for being a failure.

 

But doesn’t he say “this will complete your training” in then throne scene?

 

Oh I don’t remember, for some reason I thought he said “fulfill your destiny” but I’m probably wrong. Those two phrases get thrown around so much in Star Wars haha

 

At some point I wanted a scene where snoke was really training Kylo to fight with hate and anger and use that anger to tap into the dark side and potentially acquire more power. Hope Kylo develops some force lightning for the next film

Gah mee too. That was one of two things that didnt come true of the thigns I wanted to happen, but I ahd no diea the movie would only take place within a day or so of TFA. Really want that somewhere down the line.

 

I guess so although I wish she wouldve have more training with Luke before she was able to lift those rocks.

As far as the pilot thing the reason shes so good isnt because the force. On Jakku she spent basically all her non scavenging free time using a flight simulator. Its in the book Before The Awakening if you want to check out. Adds to TFA experience for Rey, Finn and Poe.

Edit: side note but I really wish they wouldve had a shot of her using the simulator. Would at least mitigated the "Mary Sue" argument a little bit.

Can everybody agree we all wanted him to still bite the shit out of that thing? It didnt bother me in the least but I still wanted him to lol

 

Did anybody else want to see a full on one on one battle with bb-8 and that other first order ball droid? Or would that be too obvious?
