I finally saw Rogue One.

It had tons of cool aliens and planets. Great set and character design. Beautiful cinematography. Jehda was the most interesting and fleshed out populated place we get a glimpse of since the OT. Suffice it to say I enjoyed it more than VII.

 

I didn't enjoy it nearly as much, still good though

 

I think it actually gave me a lot more of what I enjoy about the OT as anything since. Weird places and things to look at. VII didn't cut it there enough for me. Jakku was cool but felt lite compared to Tatooine in ANH, Jabbas palace in RotJ, or Jehda in RO.

 

I will say the only thing I don't like about the title "The Last Jedi" is that it reminds me of the title to the upcoming Transformers movie and the less I'm reminded of Transformers the better.

But really, I think it's a cool title.

My understanding has always been that neither side is inherently stronger. The force exists and it's dependent upon the strength of the user. Yoda basically says as much in the Empire Strikes Back.

 

Sith always run shit and no one ever completely gets rid of them. That's what I see.

 

Except for the Old Republic... Yoda ran that shit for hundreds of years prior to the phantom menace.

 

In the movies, we see the Sith use the Force is different ways than the Jedi, mainly violence. How Vader chokes people, or throws people around without touching them, Palpatine's lightning, Ren's ability to extract thought, then his control of a phaser/laser blast.

On the Jedi side, they use the mind tricks, force jumping, and basically enhancing their senses. I'm sure the Jedi does more, but it's the Sith who use the Force as an offense.

 

Yeah cause their defense is shit and the Jedi have been cutting their limbs off for decades.

That's all I meant when I said they were stronger when using the force. They use it differently than the Jedi.

 

Yet Jedi Masters can do the same things the Sith can, they just choose not to.
