    I mean, probably.

Heard a theory that it's The Last Jedi because Luke will teach to her to become something else... Something better?

I'm still in the camp that believes Jedi being plural in that instance, at least I really hope so.

Yeah, I can see why that's a popular perception. I also wouldn't be surprised if that's what happens in the franchise going forward. But, even without knowing a lot of EU stuff, I know that Force-sensitivity extends beyond the rigid rules of the Jedi and Sith, and I'd love to see more of that.

I'd love if Rey asked Luke to teach her how to become a Jedi, and he responded by criticizing the Jedi and saying he'd teach her "a better way."

Comparing Sith and Jedi Force users, the Sith seem to be the more powerful. The Jedi win battles because their heroes and are meant to win within the plot.

I don't mean this to be rude, but I honestly don't get what your replies to my posts actually have to do with my posts.

always wondered why Yoda couldn't feel Palpatine's evil right under his nose but could tell innocent Annie had the innocent hatred of a 6 year old.

Yoda/Windu discuss at one point that the dark side was impacting their use of the force.

We learn in Lords of the Sith that the Jedi temple was actually built on top of an old Sith temple/sanctuary. The Jedi temple itself had "cancer" within its very walls.

Hmm thanks. That seems silly to me.

So maybe the Sith are more powerful than Yoda then? Or no?

Sith might be more "powerful" but their arrogance and hubris always gets them in the end. That's why anakin has no legs and darth maul has no lower half.

  17. I wouldn't call it a fad so much as a course-correction of a long history of under-representation and misrepresentation in film.

No one ever completely eliminates the Sith threat though and they always seem to be in charge of all the shit. Gotta say as much.

I'm half joking, but it is a current trend right now.

I think power is distinctly different from what happened in that context. The dark side effected the Jedi, but that alone didn't cause their fall, simply enabled an opportunity for someone to use that to their advantage.

As well, no one says the dark side is weak, just that the light side is ultimately stronger. The dark side is still strong, just not the strongest.

And yea, it's a bit silly. But it's canon, so I gotta go with it haha!
