I decided last minute before buying tickets to go with the 6:00pm that Thurs and then Sat around noon. Crazy how it's almost here!

Also, I like scrolling through this site, Star Wars Authentics. If your an autograph person or want a nice official photo from the films, they have sooo much. It's nice that Lucasfilm/Disney/Topps set that up. I'm sure they will add more once TLJ is released. Those Harrison Ford signatures $$

Imagine having this on your wall though haha

I'm seeing it Thursday 7pm and then 3 hours later at 10pm. I have to make basically zero facial expressions and show no emotion whatsoever around my wife and other friends in the later showing so as not to give anything away. It's going to be impossible.

I've seen this raw strength only once before. It didn't scare me enough then. It does now.

I’m going Thursday at 7 and Saturday at 11:30am.

Also a question for you vets of this. I’ve never gone to opening night for Star Wars before. How packed is it? Like should me and my friends go early. Is there like lines and shit?

Entirely will depend on your theater and the way they handle opening nights. My theater does it pretty well, they start lines about an hour prior to each showing and try to minimize people crowding around too early as best they can. It also helps that all their theaters are assigned seats so theres virtually no need to get there more than 20 mins or so beforehand to give yourself time to park and grab some snacks.

Yeah def depends on the theater. I'm seeing it at a Regal cinema like I did for TFA and I got there at like 7 am and there were still like 20 people in front of me. It was an all-day affair. The other place I'm seeing at has assigned seating tho so I ain't worried about it (this is in the Seattle suburbs btw)

Yeah Im going to a pretty big cinemark, so I guess it doesnt matter since I have my seats already.

Also just watched A New Hope and Empire so it was one of the better days of the year and my life. That opening music is going to bring the tears. Reading the crawl to a whole new story. Fuck I cant wait.

I wonder if theyll mention anything from the TFA awakens since there is no time gap. Im assuming theyll mostly focus on the political aspect of the New Republic being destroyed and power is up for grabs and will end with saying something like "now Rey must go get Luke to help restore order" or something.

The reason TLJ is the longest SW film yet is the opening crawl is 20 minutes long, recapping all the new canon books so that non-readers know how the first order came to be and whatnot. :P

10 days left. Lets kill the time with specific things we want to see besides it just being incredible.
    1. A scene with Luke and Leia. Im sure I speak for everyone when i say i will be so bummed if we cant see them on screen one more time.
    2. Luke not just being grumpy and actually getting into the philosophy of the Force and wanting the Jedi to end because he believes they were false in their approach, which is why his training with Ben failed.
    3. Luke kicking ass and showing him do things weve never seen that definitely proves he is the most powerful Jedi ever.
    4. Actually showing Snoke train Kylo Ren and teaching him how to use the dark side since weve never seen that in any of the movies.
    5. Force Ghost (hopefully puppet Yoda)
    6. Phasma kicking some major ass

I’m most looking forward to everything Luke has to say about the force and his findings in those old books and whatnot.

Not sure if we’ll see him kick any ass. They might be saving that for 9. Or he might just be too old for asskicking. Or he does in the 3rd act and they’ve been keeping it out of the trailers (like Vader in rogue one or Rey with saber in TFA).

Also stoked for the space horse scene !

I have 2 tickets opening night and then I've got myself a Movie Pass and I live across the street from a small independent theater that eligible for Movie Pass so I'll probably just see it every day after work that I'm bored.
