Song rocks

 

Yeah I love Rotoscope, but I’ve gotten the impression I’m in the minority.

 

Rotoscope is great. Gives me big Garbage vibes and I loved them growing up

 

I adore Rotoscope EP and Eternal Blue. I don’t see how there can be any discourse for the EP if they liked EB.

Rotoscope the song gives me physical goosebumps almost every time the breakdown hits.

(Need to listen to the void again, only heard it once on Sat radio)

 

I'm not sure there's one coming yet according to this recent interview:

 

You're not! Their previous stuff did nothing for me but I love Rotoscope and I'm fully on board with the direction they're taking their sound from now on.

 

I feel like they're going to tour the hell out of a good chunk of this year, to spread their name and sound as wide as they can, and then work on the album proper later in the year, for a 2024 release

 

also super confusing to me that people enjoyed 'eternal blue' and not 'rotoscope'. it feels like a really natural progression and a tasteful incorporation of new influences. honestly if some of those tracks had been on the album it wouldn't have fazed me at all?

Had a good time at the show in Atlanta tonight. I started their set standing further back on the floor hanging out, but the Rotoscope breakdown got me spiced up so I got mixed up in that for a moment then moved up closer. Good times. They had a super cool visual setup. Crazy they are just now doing a US album tour for the album and it came out in mid 2021.
Did a double take because I saw the singer from Meet me @ The Alter in the merch line when I was leaving!

Will certainly not be attending this one, but that's a huge tour for them to support.

 

Butt rock tour

A looootttt of butts will be seeing them for the first time on that butt rock tour, so probably a good move on their part, but not a good move for fans of good music

Once upon a time I loved shinedown - they were one of the better hard rock bands in the earlier aughts. I’d see this. Incidentally I listened to papa roach’s paramour sessions the other day and it hasn’t aged well at all, but I loved that record when it came out.

curious what spiritbox will play. they don’t have a long list of accessible songs unless they lean into the EP.

 

I mean, I guess I’m just shocked at who they’re touring with. Spiritbox is one of the most exciting and buzz worthy bands in metal/rock right now…and they’re with Shinedown and Papa Roach. Idk, just seems like a big ole wet fart.
