This is like Tears of the Kingdom after Breath of the Wild - I would have never guessed the follow up would also be a masterpiece that adds so much to it - but here we are.

I would put the first one over all of those. And I love all of them.

I agree the first one is undoubtedly better than those films

 

It’s the total package for me - visuals, incredible score, great songs and story. I feel like the other have almost all of them, but are missing some of those pieces. That said, I’m basically saying those are all 4.5 out of 5 and Spider Verse is a 5.

Can’t believe I’m seeing this in IMAX this week - the most excited I’ve been for a movie since Dune I think

 

7:30 Saturday night in Dolby for me

 

I took my then girlfriend now wife to see the first movie. Her attitude was “alright I’ll come with you to see your dumb Spider-Man cartoon”. At the end she was over the moon “that was the best movie we saw this year”

Now we are ecstatic for seeing this in IMAX Thursday night
