Per MOM, but earlier MCU material has given it the 199999 marker.

Doesn’t really matter too much, imo. It’s pretty clear that the line is about NWH. Sony also said Homecoming was 8 years after Avengers, so.

199999 or 616. Who knows what the official marker is.

In the traditional system of labeling earths (started in Captain Britain by Alan Moore & Alan Davis), the main comics continuity is earth 616. Everything else, from the Ultimate universe to one-off worlds in What If? stories to Saturday morning cartoons, has a different designation. Back at the beginning of the MCU, that canon was labeled Earth 199999.

If you wanna “no prize” it, you can just say different corners of the multiverse use different numbering systems, lol. I think a map in the first Spider-Verse used some comics designations, like calling Gwen’s Earth 65 when that’s technically the comic version’s earth, not hers.

Just read an article that Spider-Verse had designated Peter B. Parker as being from 616, so Holland had to be a different number by default.

Anyways, VERY exciting to finally, four and a half years later, have another actual good Spider-Man movie to see in theaters! Super dense & cluttered trailer, doing its best of showing all that this has to offer… but I love what it has to offer! Gonna be a visual treat.

Love my boy Scarlet Spider briefly showing his very 90s self.

The place where all of the Spider-people are is called Spider-City, right?

Never got into the overall Spidey multiverse but I remember hearing the name.

The thing about expansive Spider-Verse stories in the comics is, they basically all suck as actual reading experiences. They’re fine excuses for good art, new characters, and funny lil gags, but if you try to actually read, say, Dan Slott’s first Spider-Verse event… you’re gonna have a bad time.

One of the many miracles of the first Spider-Verse movie is that it used that lore to tell an actual good, engaging, meaningful story.

Happy that Peter and MJ’s relationship was so well repaired that he’s got little baby Mayday now.

Glad to see the Tobey, Andrew and Tom callbacks. The trailer is a bit clustered, but I’m sure the movie will be fine with so many characters since this is part 1 so they can have room to breathe.

One of the Youtube comments pointed out that Miguel seems to have a real dislike of “that little nerd” aka Peter Parker from the MCU, and that it’s likely for the very same reason Miles seems to be in Miguel’s bad graces: MCU Parker and Miles both fight destiny, and Miguel is looking like someone who sees himself as the arbiter of destiny. MCU Parker succeeded, and Miguel is pissed about it, hence his anger. He will try to stop Miles from doing the same.

I dunno. Would be p cool
