I think headliners should play longer than 60 minutes. I paid $45 to see thursday play war all the time and they barely played an hour. Kinda lame IMO.

Last time I saw Titus Andronicus they played a 55 minute headlining set even though they were playing 80 minutes in cities with better attendance. That always seems lame to me, assuming he wasn't sick or anything.......like, the people who ARE here, even if there are only 75 of us, gave up our evening to come see you and we love you........don't fuck us over and then play 5 more songs in NYC. I just think that sucks.

60-90 minutes is preferable. Anything less than 60 for a headlining set is a bit lame. I expect SLS to play 50-60 min which is fine for a coheadliner. One of the reasons I’ve never seen The Used is that they only play 45-50 minute sets which seems like a rip off if I’m paying $40-$50 for a ticket.

The only headliner I’ve ever been super disappointed with was Forever Came Calling. The only time they headlined here they played a 35 minute set. Extremely disappointing to see them play a set that a similar length to their supporting sets.

35 minutes, LOL. I'm disappointed with a good OPENER that plays 35 min

I actually agree with this, it sucks when you go to a show where you paid like $40+ and at the end it feels like you didn't get your moneys worth (due to set time, stage presence, etc.)

I just wish shows ended early more often at least on weekdays haha

Yep. I was bummed. YMAEWK opened and played a long set than them. At least that show was only $20 lol

We should start a petition for all shows to start at 6 and be over by 10 haha

love to see Manchester Orchestra but I'd love if they played like 24 songs instead of like, 15

Yes I believe so. Like Pacific opened as well, but it was before anyone knew them. It was an alright show, I just wish it wouldn’t have been promoted a a big headlining tour for FCC when it wasn’t lol

Not surprising, but not ideal for a co-headliner. Also, what I was more referring to was *doors* at 7 which means first band won’t go on until 730 or 8. Normally 4-band bills, first band is on by 7

EDIT: I am seeing CLE show the doors are at 6. So that is more reasonable. But some of the shows I checked were doors at 7

I saw them headline less than a year ago and they played 70 minutes (16 songs) and that was 3 months before No Joy was released.

To be fair, they have long(er) songs than a lot of bands and they typically mix in some jam sessions/extended intros or outros during their set. I’ve seen MO headline at least 10 times and they’re typically 75-90 min sets easily.

Wasn’t the co-headliner with JEW 75 min each?

I don’t know exactly how long it was but looking at the setlist they played 12.5 songs

I was at the Columbus show and if I recall correctly, JEW was 8-915 and MO was 945-11

    (i was also extremely drunk)

I saw SLS last week and they played 17 songs (At their biggest ever headlining show apparently)

Could have happily listened to another 10

Yea once I saw they were only doing a 3 song encore I passed on that.

SLS and Oso Oso both played their last Philly shows with 150-200 capacity. TLA holds 800. Go big or go home I guess.

The show is the weekend of our 10 year anniversary. What a beautiful way to celebrate 10 years. Haha.

I created a playlist of all the songs I would reasonably want/expect to hear from this band and it was 19 songs, 76 minutes. And a few of those were stretching it. Idk, bands like the wonder years and the menzingers barely play 90 minute sets. I feel like people who want a longer set from this band just…don’t see a lot of smaller bands live? 60 minutes is pretty long!

I didn’t mean to start a whole thing with my post, sorry to anyone who feels differently.

But…they already play headlining sets longer than 60 minutes. I saw them last year *before* No Joy was released and they played a 16-song, 70 minute set.

Their UK sets right now are 70-75 min long.

Sixty minutes is not a long set for a headliner, especially from a band who has three beloved albums (and another one).

I have been to hundreds of shows in my life, in venues the size of a small living room to baseball stadiums and I can probably count on two hands how many bands I’ve seen play a 60-minute or less headlining set and it’s always been by bands who have like 1, maybe 2 albums released. (And even in those cases bands will typically play a cover or two to make up for lack of material)
