I’m mad that All Our Lives has such a tough first match. It’s so high on my list.

 

It’s one of my top 5 from the album for sure. Cecilia, Maps, High Dive, and Movies being the others.

That first matchup is so rude!! I love both Cecilia and Maps but I think Maps just has the edge for me personally, it's one of his best.

The second matchup was difficult for me too just cause I really like Black and White Movies as well and this could probably change day to day but today it's Halls.

Listening to this album again just reminds me that there are some songs that I really fucking love on it. Kind of carries over some of TGP vibes for me and has some really good storytelling on it. The Canyons EP was great too.

Maps is a way, way, way better song than Cecilia.

 

It’s a good song, for sure, but Cecilia is a classic Andrew song.

 

Eh, it’s pretty middle tier Andrew for me, and one of this songs that sounds the most like someone else could have written it. I appreciate the sentiment, but don’t think the writing is on his usual level. “Maps,” meanwhile, has some of his best lyrical work, imo.

 

Are we listening to the same song? It literally could not have been written by anyone other than Andrew given that it's lyrically so personal to him. I also think it perfectly encapsulates the pop sound of this album, musically, and it's catchy and uplifting without being cloying and sappy.
