Vinyl shipped yesterday, can’t wait, album has been in constant rotation since the leak. Prolly gonna be in my top 5 this year.

 

I got the VMP version of this so I probably won’t get it for a little while. But I’ve been streaming this all day. Great music day. Caribou, Soccer Mommy, Ratboys, and Alabaster DePlume.

Haven’t listened to the new Ratboys LP yet because I put this on first and haven’t been able to leave it. “Crawling In My Skin” and “Stain” are my immediate favourites, but the whole thing is so damn good.

 

Honestly, might agree with you there. Nothing else on the rest of album reaches the height of that song, but hard to write an album of songs as perfect as that one. Great album.

lol same thing happened to me yesterday but flip the albums! I finally did get around to Soccer Mommy and it's great, but I think Ratboys put out the best album yesterday.

this kinda knocked me out on second listen. it's funny, on paper, this really isn't that different from Clean but it somehow feels like it's on another planet. two amazing records

 

Yeah my first impression of this was literally just “this is everything Clean was doing just a million times more fleshed out and even better”

 

I just found out she's only 22? wtf

 

Yellow is soooooooo good. I think I’m ready to say this is better than Clean, and I love Clean.

 

Haven’t heard the entire new Waxahatchee record yet, but I’m expecting it along with Color Theory to be pretty close & toward the top of my AOTY list. I can’t believe how stacked 2020 has been/ is set to be for music so far.

Also, the incredible vulnerability in this album is hitting me in much the same way Immunity did last year. Would be a dream to have a Clairo/ Soccer Mommy tour.

gray light is a helluva closer. wildflowers is my favorite song by her but hearing the heartbreak in her voice singing about her mom being terminally ill is really heavy.

I didn't know this was out. This is fucking wild man.

 

I wonder if the tour is going to be postponed. It starts later this month.
