Just got Chicago tix. This made a mundane day really fantastic. Such a huge inspiration on my own music, stoked to see them live because I had gone a long time without ever thinking it possible.

I think it was a bit overlooked

it is very minimal in the guitar work (read some interviews - it is intentional) but the compositions are dynamic enough to compensate

production wise it's somewhat frustrating because it can sound very muddy, but there are also some v interesting sonic choices going on

I quite like it

 

Oh, I love Self Portrait. It's a lot less muddy than I.V., or am I misremembering?

 

I'll listen and contrast and compare and will let you know

even if it's an unpopular opinion, I think I prefer SP to IV
