This finale was all over the place. But overall a fun and charming show.

If you scan the QR code on the door to the writers’ room, it takes you to the comic where she’s mad at the writers.

I can understand the criticisms of the finale although I enjoyed it. I do wish that, after she has K.E.V.I.N. reset the finale storyline, we would have gotten to see her then go back to that particular scene and watch it play out with her new settings. I feel like that may have felt a little more satisfying rather than the jump to the arrest sequence? I understand what they were doing by foregoing the typical Marvel third act, but it seems to me that it would have been just as effective to watch her return to that “conference” and handle it with words as Jen the lawyer.

That said, I had a good laugh at:

    “Oh, you are sitting down?”

This really missed the mark for me. Not that I trust Marvel to handle serious emotional issues well, but there’s a great show in here if you start the show with Jen having just gotten powers and the revenge porn plot. Then the season is about her trial, the relationship between women and anger, relationship between society and womens’ anger, and finding out who made and leaked the video. It felt like they wanted to be goofy and light and then come in at the last second with a big statement.

This is obviously a whole other thing, but I don’t understand casting Renée Elise Goldsberry just to have her do almost nothing

Oh wow I loved that, that kind of thing is very up my alley. I was annoyed with having Emil go right back to being a villain so I’m glad they mostly undid that and that they did something actually different with this. Kind of wish they actually committed to not revealing what Hulk was doing but I mean I get it. Basically though I was very entertained

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

this is Daredevil, he can tell what the picture looks like by feeling the texture of the ink (no that's real in the comics it's wild)

It's a perfectly enjoyable and entertaining show, but far from perfect. I still looked forward to it every week.

  21. Binge watched this and Ms. Marvel over the weekend. I think I liked this a bit more than expected based on some of the opinions I've seen.

Definitely felt like the season was a little all over the place plot-wise. I know there was pushback from certain circles about the "anti-man" messaging here but I didn't take any issues with that - I've read enough comments on Facebook, TikTok, etc. in my life to know that a lot of the stuff there was a a fairly realistic representation unfortunately.

It's been my main complaint for a while regarding Marvel content (and shame on me for thinking it'll be different) but the non-stop comedy undercuts the story in a lot of places for me. To be clear, I'm totally on board with humor/levity but the exaggerated comedy where characters just don't behave in any type of realistic manner just doesn't land for me - but again, that's on me and I'm sure others really enjoyed it.

All in all, it was fine to watch on a lazy Sunday, but I can definitely see myself not liking it as much had I watched it week to week when the episodes first premiered.
