This is as silly as when ppl are like "my mom could've gotten an abortion but she chose not to do that and still had me!"

And I'm like yeah.... she chose lol like that's the point.

If everyone gets an abortion, humanity will eventually go extinct.

Pro choice people aren't the ones forcing anyone to do anything, that's pro lifers

She's implying that every single pro-choice female to ever live would have an abortion so no children would be born. So no..it doesnt make sense. That tweet is absurd and ranks up there with the most ridiculous things I've ever read.

  11. It's also historically naive, given that until very recently women didn't really have much of a say in the matter. Pro-choice and Pro-life didn't exist. There was "having this baby even if it kills me because that's what you do" or "so desperate to not have this baby that I'll probably die in secret trying to avoid it". The argument didn't exist as it currently stands.

I would tell her all this except I'm not using social media for a couple of weeks. Sigh.

I can't fucking stand Conway, I have nothing good to say about her, but that comment was disgusting and now I hate Cedric Richmond too.

  17. It's incredible how often folks see someone being awful and use that as an excuse to be a misogynist/homophobe/racist/transphobe/etc. Like... all you're doing is showing us that you're as bad as they are, if not worse.

how are people supposed to tell the difference between a woman expressing her sexuality or a woman being exploited for her sexuality

this is an honest question. if I don't know the person or if there isn't any interview expressing whether it was their choice, how are we supposed to know the truth

No one should be worrying about telling the difference unless it's a clearly exploitative situation, in which case, there's your difference. Women don't actually have to clarify "hey everyone, I'm doing this for me!" every time we take our shirts off. It goes without saying.

How can one tell if it's clearly exploitative though. I've heard countless stories about female celebrities who didn't want to bare anything or do certain shoots but did so under pressure.

By clearly exploitative, I mean anything involving a child or when a woman speaks out about being exploited. Until she says something, it's not anyone's place to guess at whether or not she was exploited unless they have prior knowledge of the exploitation. I would include in that, for example, a photo shoot with a known predator like, say, Terry Richardson. Otherwise, guessing at whether or not a situation is exploitative with no proof or reasoning just serves to undermine a woman's choice.
