How we not talking about how brilliant the cover is and how gorgeous the vinyl is

Not a fan on this song alone. Gonna wait until the full EP comes out.

I guess I’d be ok if the changes were just done within/for the live show.

  4. Apparently I don't know Senses Fail well enough... Was "Bastard Son" a b-side or something? Never heard this before.

It was a b-side/bonus track on the Rum Is For Drinking, Not For Burning single.

Edit: v that answer below is probably more accurate.

It was an Itunes b-side that was released after LIEY. It was supposed to be on From the depths of dreams but the label didn't want it on there. Buddy said on twitter that he wanted it on there and that he should've stuck to his guns. It's pretty cool that he got a chance to do that all these years later.

If you haven't listened to the original, check it out. Its still one of my favorite songs by them

They played it during some making of back in the day. That’s how I listened to it for the longest time.

Yes! I’m not able to add it on mobile but there’s a video of them recording the vocals and then the song playing over a live video. It was part of the “then and now” dvd that came with LIEY.

After that they released it on iTunes

Yeah, I wonder if they removed a lot of the screaming from the other songs as well?

When they play Steven live, he screams “goodbye” and it’s just epic. It would be cool if they recorded it that way

As big of a SF fan that I am, I’ve never actually listened to about half of the EP (Bastard Son included). This will be exciting to hear better versions of songs I’ve never actually heard before.

I'm excited for all things Senses Fail. This re-recorded EP is one of my most anticipated releases this year.

When did you become a fan? Because it’s one of my favorite releases from them. It opened me up to scream/post-hardcore

End of the Still Searching cycle seeing Can’t Be Saved MTV2. I was 13. Bought Waiting Room the first week later the next year.

I never downloaded music much so if I didn’t own it back then I never listened to it. I knew of 187, Steven, and Bloody Romance from the live shows or Follow Your Bliss

I don’t remember that one being on GH, but the day I unlocked Can’t Be Saved on GH3, I knew I was going to love this band.

I wouldn't say i became a "fan" but i remember downloading a live performance of Buried a Lie on Jimmy Kimmel (??) off punkrockvids.com back in 2005 and their performance was so loose/was pretty bad, that i was morbidly curious and randomly downloaded some songs off LIEY. Then that's when the fever started.

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

Discovered them on the Drive Thru DVD and saw them in a tiny student lounge at Univ of Hartford before the EP came out, free show with Moneen and Count The Stars. They knocked a couple ceiling tiles out, one of the bands lit their cymbals on fire at one point (honestly can't remember which band did it) and Buddy asked me and my friend if we had weed before the show haha. Wild stuff
