Lifeboats. No strong opinion here but I gave it to the slightly better bridge.

The “I’m 25” lyric in lifeboats made my eyes pop. So weird to listen to these non-dated sounding albums and realize they wrote if when younger than I am now.

Also surprised at the love for Nero.

 

Listening to the new record and 5 songs in- I don’t feel anything. It’s not incredibly bad- it’s just so bland..

I expected this but still..

 

“You Get So Alone At Times That It Just Makes Sense” is probably the only song I truly enjoy on There Is A Light...

There’s a few other that are passable if you can ignore the cringe lyrics (like on “Stay What You Are”).
