My all-time favorite song. So very sorry for your loss. I also lost my mom this year, January 9th, and these lyrics have been hitting me extra hard lately too.

So Saves the Day is probably over huh?

I guess that's a bummer. I've pretty much accepted that they'd never make anything ever again that would touch Stay What You Are or In Reverie, but there was always a small, small part of me that hoped they'd release something that would prove me wrong. It seems like real life and maybe jobs (?) have taken there hold and Chris just doesn't have the time or band or anything to be able to either put out new music and/or tour. It's a shame, because I think at one point he really had the goods, talent wise.

I don't think they're done yet. I think we're gonna at least get another album and tour and then maybe they'll disappear for a while and just do festivals and one offs

This is my hope too. As soon as that tour is announced. I will be going to multiple dates haha.

Today is the first warm day Boston has had since October. The S/T album is the perfect summer soundtrack :)

Definitely had a dream that they announced a new song and album, and now I’m awake and bummed.

Arun also posted a picture of him and Dennis (drummer) seemingly in the studio earlier this month. My excitement is growing a tad

They aren't done. Their self-titled was kind of like a rebranding almost like "This is Saves The Day now" they are done with the trilogy and have a new vision and (hopefully) a stable lineup of band members.

I wouldn't expect a lot more in the future, but I think at least one more is definitely coming.

Their inactivity has kinda been bumming me out lately. Had a dream their label released the demos of their next album because they had called it quits. Chris conley was living in Seattle with his daughter working some nursing gig.

Was kinda thinking how it was a shame Daybreak was Chris Conley' s form of finding peace, and probably things working out in his marriage and stuff but divorced after (if what some poster on here posted was true).. I love Chris Conley and hope he's in a good place mentally.

    /brief rant

Wait. What about that bit at the end about his marriage?

Some member on here mentioned Conley n wife split. If true it would explain the bands inactivity and Chris' weird stage occurrences the last couple of shows..or I mean, I would poorly assume..

Daybreak helped me get through so much over the last year or so. I love how it wraps up the trilogy with that peaceful resolution.

Nobody has heard anything? I'm hoping for a surprise announcement, but it seems like Saves is either being super quiet or is on a loooooong nap.

I have to imagine by this point he has to have a day job of some kind. There is no way that songwriting and royalties coupled with the lack of touring in the past few years can add up to much of anything at this point. I mean, is Saves the Day really bringing on new fans at this point? Probably not.

And I have to say, it's a shame that a band who has meant so much to me has kinda fizzled into obscurity. Like if the band "broke up" would it even matter at this point? And could the band even break up, since Chris is the only constant since day 1. I know a lot of bands that I've been into over the years have had this happen (especially in the ska scene), but it feels like the constant member shifting coupled with a musical direction that after 2002 kinda ran on inverse of what it seemed the mass public wanted (for instance, a Sound the Alarm type album probably would've caught on more with the scene kids in 2003 while In Reverie may have finally pushed them into stardom in 2006 while bands like The Format and Death Cab were out there doing their thing).

Even though I haven't outright loved anything Chris has done since In Reverie (besides maybe "Bye Bye Baby") but he has made some solid music since then, and I still have hope he can do something special, so here's hoping he's not giving up!

Come back Chris, the world needs you!!

There were rumors of a divorce, but nothing came to light as far as I'm aware. I also really hope it isn't true because his love for his daughter and wife seemed quite apparent in his music.

Based on his instagram, he could be a philosophy or world religions student, which would be rad. But yeah, Daybreak and S/T especially.. there are some amazing love songs on there. And if anyone sang "Undress Me" to me, I'd immediately marry them.

I think Chris' family is pretty well off anyway, he could be just coasting on his family's money. Who knows.

Yeah I've read a lot of early interviews where the band (whomever was in it) said Chris' family were very sweet and supportive financially. Like they would buy them groceries, etc.
