Definitely a few misses in there but overall
I really liked this, an improvement on the first attempt. Very happy we got Cecily this week even if it apparently meant no Alex, haha. Without thinking too hard about it, I think Kyle suddenly disappearing in his sketch got the biggest laugh out of me.

I’ll give him a break for now but I’m really hoping once things eventually go back to at least semi-normal, Pete will pick up a bit that is literally anything but “I live with my mom”. It was charming like two years ago or whatever after the Arianna stuff but god damn has it worn out for me

 

Also unpopular opinion but I didn’t mind the cast/crew laughter for WU last time! It felt like pulling the curtains back a bit, like being a part of a table read or something. No laughter was very very awkward, like the youtube videos of sitcoms with the laugh track removed to intentionally make them unnerving

 

WU should just add a laugh track. Its tacky but its better than the weak zoom laughs or nothing at all.

 

Yeah that’s pretty much the problem right there.

Honestly I often think SNL should just stop doing political stuff altogether, they’re not willing or able to be incendiary enough for it to actually be worth a damn.

 

Yeah as others have said this was an improvement on last weeks, and I actually kinda liked Pete’s song this week. Though Sandler helped that.

lol I keep forgetting John Krasinski was supposed to host the next episode before the quarantine and they haven't had him on either of the at-home shows yet

 

probably waiting for next year, if they don't have Dua after we were promised Dua Lorne Michaels must die

 

They'll probably have Krasinski host the premiere next season if they're able to be in the studio again, or I guess whenever the premiere is if they just push it back until they can

I figured we'd get one more remote episode but glad it's happening, and so soon
