Holy shit this audience is dead

 

So are the jokes for the most part

 

Was that the only sketch Heidi was in

 

I missed the first half of the episode, jumped in at the Mrs. Maisel pre-tape.

Is the first half worth catching on Hulu tomorrow?

 

Some of it was decent

 

Super middle of the road episode, some great stuff but some pretty bad too. I know nothing about Rachel Brosnhan (never seen anything she's in) but I can definitely tell they wasted her here, she seemed very game but they barely gave her anything to do. (I also didn't realize she's only 28, she carries herself as a lot older). Hopefully she gets to come back for a better episode sometime

 

Not Rachel's fault, but a lot of this was lousy. I don't think any of these sketches save for two were really bringing it. Ones that had potential, like the Whammy one, felt flat too. Mulaney was the highlight for sure, though

 

What is everyone’s opinion on SNL movies? I really love a handful of them. Has there been anything in the works for something new recently? All the talk about Kenan made me realize I’ve never seen him in a film role (outside of Good Burger lol).

I like about 4 of the SNL movies haha. Blues Brothers, Wayne's World 1&2, and MacGruber. SuperStar has a few good moments.

There hasn't really been any rumblings of a movie for quite some time, but David S. Pumpkins got an animated Christmas special.

If you want more big-screen Kenan, he plays Fat Albert in the remake, and he's also in They Came Together, albeit a fairly small part.

 

they've been working on MacGruber 2 forever, I was gonna say Blues Brothers and Wayne's World are the only good SNL movies but I forgot about that

and Kenan hasn't really had a starring film role outside of that and unfortunately Fat Albert, he was in Snakes On A Plane though

Actually, I do need to give that one a rewatch. It creeped me out big time as a kid.
