Couldn't watch live tonight

Cold open was kind of all over the place but definitely had some laughs. Alex's Zuckerberg was great

Figured he would mention The Office due to its recent huge surge in popularity. Was great to see those actors together again and loved the band playing the theme. Possibly controversial but I have no desire for them to actually reboot the show despite how much I loved it

The dad sketch was not a great start

Message from Jeff Bezos was funnier than the audience gave it credit for

I know nothing about Claire Foy but I'm so fucking excited that Anderson .Paak is playing SNL, he will absolutely kill it

Friendsgiving was really funny

RBG was good, I'm really enjoying these Pete/Chris raps. Never in a million years did I expect to hear a Sheck Wes parody on SNL though, especially not even his big song

NASA TV had a really funny concept. My biggest laugh was "Hayley like Eminem's daughter" though

Not the biggest fan of Ella Mai's brand of R&B but she definitely sounded good

Good WU. The Bigfoot character was great

Grease sketch was pretty funny, I liked the premise a lot

RV sketch wasn't great. Heidi is a really good actress though

Alien Thanksgiving wasn't great besides the breaking but I've never seen a flub like that ending. They improvised well though

GPYass! was eh

This episode was pretty good, not amazing. Great seeing Steve Carell do comedy again even though he was pretty underused for most of the episode

 

Can’t get over how strange it is to look at the whole Amazon/Bezos situation and come away with “he’s trying to piss off Trump” as your sketch premise

this season has been pretty bad. They seem super out of touch in most sketches.

The weekend update amazon jokes were weak too.

How dare you disgrace the best artist in television history?

Last night was pretty bad. Who would've thought that Liev Schreiber would be the best episode so far this season?

 

FUCK THEY KEPT POPPING UP ALL AT ONCE

 

Cold open, Grease, Bigfoot desk character were the highlights for me. Everything else was pretty bad

 

Frozen space monkeys was easily the highlight and nothing else even came close

 

So what the hell happened with the end of the Kern sketch? Did they just bail on the scripted ending and eat the Kern?

 

After reading this thread I’m not gonna go through the whole episode but the monologue with all of the people from the office is making me so happy

 

Weird episode 100% a lot of those sketches just had nothing going on

 

Didn’t love this one. The NASA one and the early dad sketch just had me scratching my head. Friendsgiving was clearly the sketch of the night.

Was also curious about that kern sketch ending. Seemed like something was off.

 

Yeah I'm always an avid defender of this show and I've enjoyed at least a few sketches in every episode but so far this season is noticeably the weakest in quite a while

 

The thanksgiving song sketch was 10/10

 

My family will certainly be singing the thanksgiving song around the dinner table this Thursday!

 

This thread is always hilarious to me. Everyone hypes it up during the week and then everyone is let down after the show.

This show hasn't been consistently good in over a decade - maybe even longer. I still watch every week, but I literally have rock bottom expectations each episode, knowing I'll be lucky to enjoy two to three skits. There's still always one or two decent skits, but for the most part, it's always a total let down.
