So much nostalgia tied to Saosin for me - especially this song. Really glad we now have this on streaming, although its not on UK Apple Music for me yet.

Not sure if this was mentioned, but on Beau's IG (in the comments of the I Can Tell post), he said there was a "pretty great chance" of new Saosin music in 2020

I thought they've been in the studio or writing for a bit? Could be wrong. Along The Shadow is still pretty great. Listened today after listening to I Can Tell on repeat 5 times.

I had heard that, too... just wasn't sure how far along they were, especially with Anthony's schedule and recent struggles

I don't see how Anthony fits in a new Circa record, BSN tour and a new Saosin album in one year, but I'll gladly be proven otherwise.

2008: solo album and TSOAF album
2012: solo album and Circa album
2016: solo album and Saosin album
2020 Circa album and Saosin album???????

And we all know he was constantly touring all those other years as well. ACTUALLY, what a crazy pattern, every 4 years he releases 2 albums in a year? Maybe

huh I didn't know they were planning for a Circa album this year, The Amulet does not feel like it came out in 2017 to me lol

I’ve tried for 10 years. Biggest disappointment ever for me I think.

ISOSG got shat on so much that I never really listened to it until recently, just out of morbid curiosity.

"On My Own," "Alarming Sound," and "Is This Real" are pretty good musically. Cove's studio processed vocals sound decent enough to get by, but the lyrics are bad enough to detract from every song.

Thinking about the progression from TTN-S/T-ISOSG really gives me vibes that the founding members got seduced by the prospect of huge mainstream success (when in reality, selling millions of records as a pop-punk or post-hardcore band was already unrealistic by the late 2000s anyway). Maybe I'm wrong there, but it's kind of a bummer.

I really like "Worst of Me", "What Were We Made For?", and "Say Goodbye". Those three stood out to me today.

I think it was a combo of being young and not being able to say no to a major label and the label having a say in how the album sounds. Pretty sure Beau has said the label threatened to shelf ISOSG if they didn’t rewrite some stuff and make it poppier

Yeah I remember people complaining about some of the better songs from the ISOSG sessions being b-sides and a couple of the band members said that the label was a big driving force behind the more pop rock styled songs, which the band wasn’t happy with.

There was also a lot of friction between the band and Virgin Records after Virgin merged with Capital Records in between the self titled and ISOSG. It’s worth mentioning that the album also went through three other producers outside of the band. The whole writing/recording/touring cycle for that album was god awful.

ST always felt big production mainstream to me too, like from the moment I first heard it

Sleepers and Bury Your Head are awesome but obviously those were written before they were signed

ST was too for sure. I have to imagine the big difference was working with smaller producers than Howard Benson. All the songs on the ST sound much bigger than anything from ISOSG

Yo this song is fucking rad.

I think he might be my favourite drummer.

I LOVE this song (I Can Tell...) but I'm not a fan of this new version. It doesn't sound nearly as energetic as the Cove version. It's got something to do with where the guitars are in the mix, I think.

Really got into this last album in the last 6 months so...playing it probably 3 times thru a week still and I can’t believe I slept on it.
