it does bum me out that it seems like there’s a large portion of voters that seem to not vote unless jimmy eat world is in the title of the poll, either for or against them. very odd. 144 voters in this poll and the next closest this batch was in the 120s with a jimmy eat world album and then 105 and sub-100. i know we say not to vote unless you’ve heard both albums but i find it hard to believe 40 less people have heard these. it also isn’t that hard to click play on some music lol.

 

There’s too much music in the world and I’m too busy to stop what I’m doing to listen to Weezer so I can vote in some arbitrary poll on chorus dot fm

They probably voted in here but not the other polls because they’ve listened to both albums!

 

I’ve listened to Pinkerton and a bunch of other songs. Not my thing

 

Fair, Blue is just their most loved album and has their biggest songs so I was surprised lol

 

I have nothing against Weezer or their fans. I don’t actively dislike them, but I don’t like them either. They just sort of exist for me, ya know?

 

Blue is also much different than Pinkerton lol

 

I also don’t like the four songs I’ve listened to from Blue so, considering that’s nearly half the album, I think I’ll pass

 

Weezer also just kind of exists for me. Where I’m at is I recognize their influence and I can see they write good songs, but not much of it touches me emotionally.

 

Not to speak for anyone else, but I think the point is that the threads that the bracket came from were intended to inspire people to listen to records they may not have heard before. I wasn’t able to keep up as much as I wanted to, but there was great conversation and exploration in those threads. It’s not surprising but it does suck that that didn’t carry over as much to the brackets
