Yeah it’s not that I’m like, ashamed or whatever lol. I just always feel inspired to give something a shot when a lot of people around me are super passionate about loving it. I’ve tried Blue Album and Pinkerton a couple of times over the years. Rivers is just super off putting to me as a songwriter. Those are the two albums that everyone always directs me towards though. I think I’ve tried Green Album two or three times as well? I might go to one of the albums I haven’t listened to before just for the sake of conversation in the bracket threads since part of the point was getting people hear music they hadn’t before. But I’d be really surprised if anything changed for me at this point

 

You know what Weezer album I think you'd be more likely to enjoy? The White Album. It's honestly the album of theirs I reach for the most. A lot of great power-pop hooks, Rivers' worse impulses kept under control, and some ace production from Jake Sinclair.

 

Might give it a shot tonight. I’m playing for a musical next month so I’ll need a pallet cleanser to get “So You Want To Be A Nun” out of my head at the end of the day

 

There are a few dumb songs on it, but for me, it's the best showcase of Rivers' melodic gifts.
