If I remember right, I'm drawing that from the campaign of Battlefront II, and I'm not sure where that falls in terms of canon, now.

I find it unlikely. But it would be fun if the clones who are top of the line soldiers got special designations. Although there was one clone who was a normal storm trooper in the Lords of the Sith book.

So when are tickets for sale? I can't wait to sit by my three computers and my phone and my wife's phone and repeatedly spam the refresh button on Fandango again, that was great fun last year

 

The only reason I got tickets last time was because tickets went on sale before the trailer aired instead of after like it was announced. That being said I can't imagine this movie having a massive ticket cluster fuck like TFA.

 

I honestly had no problem getting tickets for TFA and I think I bought them a couple days after the sale began.

 

Wasn't the stormtrooper one of the Imperial Guards?

The Ahsoka novel makes it clear that there aren't clones in the stormtrooper armor and that takes place about 3 years after Revenge of the Sith. I think most of them probably became elite trainers. It also makes it a point that that's why the stormtroopers are so inept is because they were mostly conscripted into service.

 

In Lords of the Sith we are specifically told there are some clones out there in storm trooper armor. But it also mentions that this is rare as most have gotten too old and such to continue on.

So like I said, I find it unlikely for the theory I posted to be true. But it would be fun if clones who still have it together like Rex does in Rebels show up at some point.

 

Gotcha. I don't remember that part in particular, just the reveal that one of the Imperial Guards was a clone. It will definitely be interesting to see where they go with it.

 

Anyone planning on reading the Catalyst novel that comes out this month? Hoping it'll tide me over until movie release day.

 

Of course! I'll probably devour it within 24 hours. Love me some new Star Wars canon.

 

Especially because it's by James Luceno who's written some of the best SW books in recent years including my all time favorite: Darth Plagueis.

 

I would lose my right hand to not have to hear about Plagueis anymore.

But he is canon, so the obsession will never ever go away.

If it makes you feel better, I'm not one of the people begging for him to be Snoke. I think that's an awful idea because he works best in the vacuum of Phantom Menace era and should stay there. I just love the book because it made me get/love Episode 1 more for the Palpatine side than him and seeing behind the curtain of all the Dark Side plots from the Prequels.

I don't foresee this being nearly as big as TFA.
even then, I was able to buy tickets online ten minutes before I drove to a midnight showing opening day.
