  1. I basically lived at Rebel/Revolt (I think that was the other small one) when they had both side by side. Loved that layout.

I don’t think Riot or Sublime are too concerned with what Sublime with Rome is up to. They might not play, but I don’t think that would be the reason.

I kind of meant scheduling may be an issue, there's apparently other dates to be announced around that McHenry show, I guess that's my real speculation - I hope they play though and a self titled album play would be pretty amazing lol

But why would scheduling be an issue? I doubt Eric is going to be playing those shows with them. So it is two completely separate bands.

Wait, did Eric officially leave SWR? I thought he’d be playing with both bands this year

I thought Eric was in both as well

edit: just watched their Cali Vibes set last week, no Eric - so I take back everything I said LOL

Definitely confusing. I’m sure people will be surprised to go and see it is just Rome with some other random people.

Sad summer is being announced next week. There’s a Chicago stop so we can rule most of the bands on that out for riot

Hatebreed is out. A fan asked Jamey on Twitter if they’re playing and he said no, but they have something else planned

Hatebreed has a fall tour with a Chicago band and a band from Liverpool.

This is not a negative but I did not expect to open this thread and see Olivia Rodrigou being suggested

(but I would be all for it since her shows at the UC are so expensive on resale)

Whenever people drop names for pop artists that would be a good fit I'm always confused as to how Halsey, Ke$ha, or CHVRCHES don't pop-up in the conversation. On paper, and even sonically, those three are all closer to the Riot vibe than most of the other names that get dropped.

Like, seeing Olivia Rodrigo's name on the poster would be pretty jarring and confusing to me. It wouldn't make me mad, but I'd be puzzled. Because it wouldn't affect the festival much except for ticket sales for a single day and it would cost $$$$$.

And there's context around those other three names above that would make much more sense to me. (But I'm also a little biased because I don't understand the appeal of Olivia Rodrigo and I really enjoy the three artists I listed above.)

Top two lines seem very much in play. I’m ready for the killers at Riot

  19. Sun Volt would be cool too.

Yeah, disappointed by that. Felt like it was a slight possibility anyway but would prefer The National at Riot Fest over the UC.

Oh, and I already have Novo Amor that night. Guess I'm going to Madison.

Wondering what this makes the odds of them being in Chicago the next weekend. Also, maybe we get Beck too?

Beck is playing Bourbon & Beyond the weekend of Riot on the Thursday (sub headliner to Neil Young) - it's possible

I think all the Lolla people think the Killers are playing this year
