Okay so Spoon is actually at the Metro that Friday so that leaves the Metro open that Saturday…so there’s a likely chance a bigger act plays a show there and is announced later.

Edit: Nevermind, Hot Mulligan is there Saturday I cannot read

I really wish that Gel/MSPaint tour was coming my way. I was able to get most of the ones I have conflicts for except Spiritual Cramp...

I have zero stress about Rob Zombie, TBH. I want to see him but the plan is to watch the first ~45 minutes of Pennywise and then dip to Rob's stage where he'll undoubtedly be closing with the two big hits from Hellbilly and the White Zombie songs. That's all I need.

my fallout boy excitment has been growing for the past couple months. im not usually a huge fan, the last time i saw them live was 05, they were playing a small theater and only had from under the cork tree and take this to your grave to pull from so the amount of bangers ill get to hear for the first time has me so hyped.

Same, honestly. I've never seen them live save for like, half a song at Warped Tour 2004. I don't need to catch an entire set but... A few songs will do me good.

Hopefully the set is structured like that Download Festival set! Hah.

I just saw Fall Out Boy at the metro last year. That is why I am hoping their set is similar to download festival so I can catch what I want to see from them and split early to see most of NoFX.

That's my plan too hoping it pans out that I can leave after the cork tree stuff go to nofx and make it back for the encore (I assume they'll do a good 8 ball song)

Hadn't even seen that Download setlist yet, I'd be down for that kind of set up. Just looked at their tour dates and they just have a few Canada and Mexico dates plus Riot and WWWY, and all are billed as "Days of Fall Out Past" so I assume Download was the debut of that show.

I am just begging on my knees that they play Get Buys Living. I'm still so salty I didn't try harder to get to Milwaukee this spring, but that would make up for it.

the deeper the cuts, the happier i am.

EDIT: i didnt realize how bleak this phrasing was.

Both of these sentences read like Fall Out Boy song titles from 2004.

As a hardcore fan of both pre hiatus fall out boy and X-Men, I love this.

still weird to me that “Days of Future Past” became a phrase you can spoof in broader pop culture while the infinitely harder phrase “God Loves, Man Kills” remains niche.

I hadn't realized this was billed at Days of Fall Out Past, nor did I see their download festival setlist until now.

Immensely more excited for this set.

the eras tour gimmick is such a home run idea, especially for longevity bands. could see any of the big rock bands starting in the 90s (rhcp, greenday, weezer, foo..) doing something like that in the future. were there any acts doing it before taylor?

  20. Copeland did a kind of reverse eras set in 2016 and it was incredible.
Copeland Setlist at Double Door, Chicago

They did another cool thing at that show that I've never seen another band do. Their opener was Rae Cassidy, who sings backing vocals on You Are My Sunshine. For each of her songs, a member of Copeland joined her on stage, and her last song with all of Copeland went seamlessly into "Not So Tough Found Out."
