Hopefully the Bronx gets an evening set this time around- they've played super early that last couple times I've seen them at Riot.

 

Wouldn't move the needle for me in the slightest but would be a really cool, logical addition to the Riot Fest line-up to diversify things a bit genre-wise... Would be cool seeing them on the same stage as, say, Social D or Gaslight Anthem.

I don't see that happening unless they're on Rebel... Which is possible, but a bit less likely since they're on that Flogging Molly tour (and it's not always but usually they put bands on the same tour on the same stage).

A GWAR/Bronx combo to close out Rebel would be epic, though!

at this point its a game of how many warped tour era punk bands can i see the bronx open for? already got rancid, dropkick and bouncing souls covered.. now flogging molly! get them on the final nofx tour next year, then maybe an antiflag tour after that!

 

Agreed. I definitely don't see them playing a big stage after sunset, but them on the little stage back in the trees towards the end of the evening would fucking rule. And since I'm going full Give a Mouse a Cookie mode here, let's tack on another after show at Cobra.

 

I've seen them open for NOFX twice haha

With the Wonder Years tour announcement imminent... We'll probably have another "nah brah" or "lock" on our hands before too soon!

 

Not quite, just a TGG show in Philly the week before Riot. I'm guessing they won't do two years in a row, but I certainly wouldn't complain.

 

and they just played in Chicago last month, I know it means nothing... but I'm just assuming their next tour will mostly be markets they skipped (like Philly)

 

Obviously the whole Douglass Park situation is still up in the air, but it's starting to get to a point where we're getting into the line-up reveal zone. Is there a show that they might need to get out of the way before they can share it? My first guess was Finch on May 2nd and 3rd, but I could be very wrong.

 

My guess is May 8th, I'm locking that in

 

Lineup has almost always been mid to late-May (2017 was late April, and 202* was a year in advance, otherwise it's been May 15 or later for the most part)

 

They played the anniversary shows in Chicago on March 2022 and playee Riot in September. Then they played Chicago again March of this year. I dont see them coming back for a 4th time in 2 years... BUT I would love a TGG set at Riot. So crossing my fingers

 

Yeah I wouldn't rule TWY out yet doing a TGG set. Assuming that's what they're doing at Fest this year too since that's billed as "two sets"

 

2017's wave 1 line up dropped 6 years ago today (thanks FB memories!), which of the spring releases is the earliest one we have gotten i think.

 

Man, I legit still remember the day Riot’s lineup dropped in 2017. I literally yelled “NO FUCKING WAY!” when I saw they got Jawbreaker

 

Hah! I completely forgot about the Wonder Years playing last year... My B. That's what happens when bands are scheduled the same time as the Descendents with me. They just cease existing during that window of time.
