    per Wikipedia

"Hammond is a city in Lake County, Indiana, United States. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area, and the only city in Indiana to border Chicago"

If you go by radius, it's 22 miles from Douglass Park

for reference, Tinley Park is about 20 miles from Douglass Park using the same radius points

Also, Pantera is playing with Metallica at Soldier Field in August 2024.. I doubt they book any Chicago area shows between now and then.. I have no probably with Pantera but I doubt they ever play Riot. Riot could have easily booked down or Phil's other bands and never did so I'd chill on thinking they play

Swell Season are out as well, August show at the Salt Shed

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but Make Yourself Sick by Boys Night Out turns 20 this year. I’d love that one but not sure it would even be on their radar.

Would love this too. I know they have gone back and rerecorded some of their early EPs and maybe done some shows for them, but they haven't really done a lot of shows in the last decade and I could see them doing a one off in Canada if they did. I would wait on the rail for this that being said, I would camp the rail for that.

  4. I could see them saving a big tour for the Trainwreck anniversary in a couple years. I'd be excited to see them regardless, but that one is their masterpiece.

I could see Riot maybe booking them as a first or second band on Radical/Rise stage or on the Rebel stage in the afternoon.

Honestly not sure how much desire for this there would be at Riot. Not to say that people wouldn't be into it... But it definitely wouldn't be a "big" reunion compared to, say, if they were to do it at Furnace Fest. That's kinda what came to mind when you mentioned this. It feels more like a Furnace Fest thing to me. I'm just not sure how much demand there is for them at this point.

It's also fucking wild to me that that album turns 20 this year! I love that record. I listen to it once every 6-8 months or so and I'm always blown away by how much of it comes right back to me.

Severely underrated band. Some of their lyrics are a bit cringe now, but goddamn that sing along part in "I got punched in the nose..." will still get me fucking going when I'm 80.

I could see them getting The Bravery, but I could also see Lolla snagging them

Limp Bizkit also played Hammond Indiana within 2 months of Lolla last year and just didn't promote the show. As far as I know they got into no legal trouble over it. Could be a similar situation

I kinda feel like the Bravery is just below the level of popularity where Lolla would try to snag them. I could be off, but I kinda feel like they'd be a rung or two beneath Bloc Party in terms of popularity/demand.

Would love the return of Peaches, wish Fever Ray were on the table but they're playing that new Salt Shed venue, never seen Future Islands but heard they put on a great show and would fit the "Riot-indie" vibe, also would be cool with an MGMT album play in the Bleachers slot from last year

The Bouncing Souls, Samiam, and Unwritten Law are all playing Chicago in April/May. Doesn't rule them out but makes them significantly more unlikely. Especially Unwritten Law, who seem to be doing long stretches of touring.

The Souls and Samiam look to be doing mostly one-offs they'd be flying out to anyway so... There's still a shot, however slimmer it might be. Their Chicago date is also just before the announcement would likely take place (May 11th).

i think the souls/samiam are doing a true (albeit small) tour, but for some reason single events are all thats popping up on FB rather than a tour poster. im pumped cuz a date landed here in STL with swingin utters and pet needs opening! my May concert calendar is filling up very fast while jan-april i only have like 1 show each so far

Interesting! Wonder if they're doing the usual short run of weekend shows. I didn't know about the STL date with Swingin' Utters! All I've seen thus far is a CA date in October, the Grog Shop shows with Anti-Flag, and them doing Boston with Catbite.

Hopefully there's a way I can see them ahead of December. Having gone all of last year without a single Souls set was kind of a heartbreaker around my household. Haha.

Where are you getting these Souls/Samiam dates, I don't see them anywhere... I also doubt there's any radius type rules for Samiam since they are so low on the totem pole of the lineup. I've been waiting to see them again since 1997, the last show they played in like 2008 I could drive to was the same weekend as a hurricane

a handful are on their FB event list, but that doesnt even include my STL show on may 12th* because that FB event was created by the venue and not the band, so seems like the announcement wasnt too coordinated on this go round, haha, im guessing a poster drops at some point today
my local venue referred to it as the Ten Stories High Tour

Why? playing Milwaukee doesn't mean anything as far as radius clauses, etc

also Just listened to the new Fall Out Boy, wouldn't be surprised at all if they are one of the Riot headliners

That's a pretty cool lineup but I'm curious how it's spread over 4 days. Looks like a great 2 day fest though. I've still never seen Foo Fighters
