Who said anything about riot Mike? It’s Lauren who’s doing the Announcement.

 

Riot fest is the first date of the USA tour for Qotsa. So if they are dropping off riot/postponing the tour they make the announcement about riot fest on air and then queens makes their own announcement about the rest of the tour.

the announcement could be something like this if it’s what’s actually happening

“unfortunately Qotsa have to drop off riot fest due to health issues/dr orders. Replacing them is (replacement band here). good news tho Queens will be back next year”



also no one said this is what’s happening it’s just speculation so why take it as fact?

They announced The Misfits for 2022 when NIN dropped out of playing in 2021. So there is precedent for that. And that was the second headliner announcement for 2022. Not saying that is happening if Queens drop, just saying that it isn’t impossible.

 

I would agree that blink is more likely to play Lolla than Riot Fest in 24.

 

I don't think Lauren is announcing the schedule is out (since Riot did that themselves), I also don't think she's announcing Queens are out (Riot would announce that themselves), noon on radio has never been a big deal even after stations switched to streaming in the 90's - my guess is it's 2 or 3 bands (including TBS or Gwar or both) getting added late to the lineup like last year before the Riot puts the schedule out

 

I truly don't think any band is getting added unless there's a drop, and I firmly stand by that guess.

 

I think last year Coolio & Marky were added late just to fill holes in the schedule - probably the same case this year, I don't expect anything earth shattering but whatever it is we'll find out tomorrow lol

 

Lauren’s announcement is definitely not Schedule related

 

It's the Blink nurse dress, but Blink is in Europe the weekend of Riot and I doubt she's announcing them for 2024 - maybe I'm wrong, but I'm firmly in the I don't know what the fuck is going on category

 

It could just be a huge troll/misdirection just to get people talking.

A medical update on Queens with the announcement of whoever is added to replace them (plus whatever all else they had up their sleeves for a "2nd wave" or whatever) would make a lot of sense.

 

That makes more sense then being blink related

 

TBS just announced a new album, so I think it’s more likely they get added tomorrow

 

Back to blink for next year. It is the 25 year anniversary of enema. I know they played for the 20 year anniversary but that wasn’t with Tom.

 

I’m ready to be devastated by conflicts today!

 

I’ll just be relieved if there’s not a Gaslight/Godspeed conflict.

 

Just a few short hours and I can begin the stages of grief

 

Woke up on a huge Motion City kick. Their tour with AAR starts the 22nd….warm up show?!?! Definitely think some bands are being added.

 

Both just played the Chicago area, but I'm down for whatever

Y'know, maybe it is them announcing the schedule and new acts for 2023 and that Blink is coming back to headline in 2024.

It's been a few years since Blink has played and it would be the first one back with Tom. And, yes, Blink just played Chicago but with a new album coming out... I'm sure they'll be touring again in 2024. And given how well this first one back went? I could see them announcing a bunch of dates for 2024 alongside the album announcement which is (supposedly?) coming in "days."

Or maybe it's nothing at all related to that. But I could see a scenario where that's what it is.
