i saw a rumor that Viagra boys are opening for QotSA on a fall tour which would be rad as hell, and makes sense as they are already on same day at louder than life. we can prob put VB in for saturday in pencil, not pen. could see them as 2nd to last on roots, pre-queens

 

Probably not going to make it this year, but everyone should see my friends in OK Cool.

Sleep Token just sold out 10,000 capacity Wembley Arena in under 10 minutes

Sleep Token sold out their Wembley Stadium show in December in about 10 minutes. I know that it's essentially a "hometown" show and that ticket sales are wild these days, but that's still pretty crazy. Can't believe we got them on the fourth line, I'm guessing we can lock them in as counter-programming against a headliner.

Man that Melvins/Boris tour could’ve easily been routed for those two bands to play Riot. Still weird Melvins have never done it

 

Random, semi-related tidbit that I picked up from a recent podcast interview with AFI's current manager: The idea for that Sing The Sorrow show was suggested by their management and it took a lot of convincing to get Davey to agree to do it. The way it was phrased made it sound like he still wasn't fully sold on the idea but agreed to it anyway because of the benefit it might have for the band's career as a whole.

More support behind what others have said: The band really meant it when they said it would be a one-time thing. So I wouldn't expect it as an album play.

Upon further investigation, we're getting Viagra Boys and Jehnny Beth (both playing Saturday) because of it but STILL
