The VIP tickets now say SOLD OUT. Looks like it’s coming very soon.

My guess is we will get the announcement in September...like the great disaster of 2018. What better way to reminisce that experience, than a global pandemic. #eyeroll

Good looks. Guessing Deluxe and Ultimate will have similar movement this afternoon. Wonder if it's coming tonight?

Music to my ears. I'm going to put this record on today in hope the good vibes bring them to Chicago.

I keep refreshing their Twitter/Facebook/website constantly. Each time I think, surely this time there will be something new! I need help!

Sad Summer Fest announced their 2021 dates. The tour ends a week before Riot, so we might get some of those bands and I think it's about time The Maine plays Riot

  9. All Time Low and The Maine would be fun additions. I'd check out Movements and Grayscale if they're not up agains anything else I'm interested in.

None of those would be of particular interest to me, but I'm guessing that at least 2-3 of those bands are going to be added (probably All Time Low; maybe the Maine and/or Grayscale). They would make sense sharing the stage the same stage as MGK too.

Gross that ATL has Destroy Boys on this trek.

That lineup does very little for me and I’d be okay with it not hitting riot fest. That said, I definitely am rooting for the long term success of Sad Summer, because it might be the closest thing we ever get to a return of warped tour

My guess is sad summer fest bands are on riot cuz originally that tour had a Chicago date

Supposedly the Chicago date got nixed when they rescheduled due to a lack of venue. But I find it hard to believe that Riot didn't swoop in to try and scoop up a band or two from that tour. Particularly All Time Low or Grayscale who have both played the fest in the past.

i was at the height of my pop punk/ emo/post hardcore/metalcore fandom from 02-06 but something in me switched one day, and from then on out, very very few 'new' bands from any of those genres do anything for me, i cant explain it. on the heavier side i stopped paying attention around: ADTR, BMTH, fallin in reverse and anything after, and then on the pop punkier side, the class of like bayside, all time low, mayday parade, and onto acts like wonder years and the like. Im chalking it up to "old man yells at clouds" but ive sort of decided to not really attempt to get into them simply because it will only increase conflicts at places like riot, haha.

I was just never quite into that stuff beyond New Found Glory, Set Your Goals, and the Wonder Years. Most everything that followed after that too far in the "pop" direction for my personal tastes. And I just never bothered with the heavier stuff.

It's impressive how well some of these bands have maintained a consistently large fanbase over the years, though. More power to them.

Going to Sad Summer in Pontiac, but would happily see most of these bands a second time.

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

Operation Ivy would for sure be a headliner. Box Car Racer probably would be. I don’t think Angels & Airwaves would.

I get that a lot of people would want to see BCR because of Tom and Travis & because they haven’t played in forever, but I don’t think they’d be main stage headliners just because their own body is work isn’t very large and isn’t as well known.

    AVA would definetly not headline.

Neither band would headline. Boxcar Racer is less popular compared to AVA. Despite what Tom Delonge fan folks would have you believe.

I think you’re underestimating the draw of having Tom and Travis on stage together

Box Car Racer would only appeal to die hard Blink fans. The demand isn’t really there for Tom and Travis to be on stage together if it isn’t Blink. Plus the general public isn't as invested in Tom associating with any Blink members again like the fanbase is.
