As of this morning, that's exactly what they're forecasting: mid 70s, a chance of rain on Friday but partly cloudy otherwise.

 

Part of me wants just sunny and clear skies, another part of me wants an excuse to wear my Vein windbreaker.

 

A ton of stuff is already booked, my Airbnb cancelled last week & I was freaking out but found another reasonably priced near Humboldt Park/Logan Square. I was seriously considering going to a hostel; this one seemed reasonable & was close to Douglas Park/The Loop/Wicker Park Chicago Parthenon Hostel – Premiere Boutique Hostel

 

I don't get how people can wait until the week before to book lodging for a multi-day event in a major city. Hotels get pretty booked on a regular weekend in Chicago (when you're looking not far in advance) and if you add in a festival, it's even harder the later you look.

 

i dont get why airbnb hosts are allowed to cancel on people with zero repercussion. Between here, reddit, and FB (and including myself this year) the amount of stories ive read on hosts canceling on people this year is insane. Happened to me previously in 2017 and that guy straight up admitted he didnt realize it was riot weekend, canceled me and then immediately relisted it at 3 times the price. if a hosts cancels, they should not be allowed to re-list those dates.

 

I thought that was the policy. But maybe there’s a simple loophole around it. I wonder if like listing it as a different unit or something let’s them get around it.

 

I honestly don’t think it makes that big of a difference. I’ve booked 4 months out and a week out before, got a much better rate the week before. Airbnbs I can understand that it’s not like that.

 

same w a flight. just booked for $150 cheaper than i looked at three weeks ago.

 

There really wasn’t a huge difference in price for everything I booked last minute compared to when I first started looking. I also wanted to see the schedule first to see how many days I really needed off/to book a hotel for.

 

i really hope blink has the full production set up for this i know most headliners usually do but i dont recall anyone having as anything crazy as blink has on this tour. when they played in 2013 all the had was lights and a back drop

 

So this is year 4 for the girlfriend and I going, and year 6 of us being together. We're from PA and this is what we look forward to every year. We're driving in on Thursday and I'm going to be proposing that night so we can celebrate the whole weekend.
Terrified/excited/etc. but just wanted to share with yall because why not
