Looks like I missed the initial announcement.

For me, this is worth skipping. I'll wait to see what the after shows are.

Reinventing and Transgender together are under an hour so that can be done in 1 day, same with SF but I can see TBS doing two days

Slayer, Bikini Kill, The Raconteurs, Jawbreaker, Ween, Patti Smith, Rancid, Violent Femmes, Descendents, Manchester Orchestra, The B-52s, The Struts, Against Me!, Pennywise, Anthrax, Bob Mould, Guided By Voices, Ride, Testament, Andrew WK, Senses Fail, Village People, Less Than Jake, Glassjaw, The Selecter, The Damned Things, Save Ferris, White Reaper, H2O, Cherry Glazerr, Skating Polly

Pretty good when considering I'm lucky to find eight acts on a Lollapalooza lineup these days.

Super hot take: The lineup is pretty good but I like the Lollapalooza lineup better ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

However, I will probably end up going at least a day or two.

They’ve been practicing/teasing EOTS plays for the summer. I would only see them if nothing else is going on, but I do expect that to get announced.

without having time to count the number of bands compared to last year, does it look like there will be any small additions closer to riot, bands along the lines of Interrupters etc

You’re right… Blues is like 29 minutes long. Lol

There probably will be. Some acts will be touring, some might have exclusivity still with the Rockstar touring festival that would be added once the Chicago date happens.

Three of the top five billed are reunions or a final show for a band. B-52s is their last Chicago show AND a band that was billed top three just a couple years ago is now billed 7th which tells you how deep this lineup actually is.

TSSF and ND both being on again is a definite bummer.

Happy that Avail is so high up and hyped. I wish I had just gone down to The National when those tickets went on sale......

    89 acts last year
89 legit acts on the lineup this year

There won't be any more adds.

American Football toured on that with the reunion for so long, though, and they're pushing a great album.

  16. The surprise for me this year is that I'm far more excited about the top half of the lineup than the bottom. I've seen a lot of the undercard multiple times or not heard of them at all.

  17. Can't wait for PKEW to play at like 1pm on saturday and have no choice but to be shitcanned all day long

Ah, so we're hitting the Lollapalooza phase of their festival lifecycle.

Holy shit that lineup is good.

I’m considering flying out just to see Glassjaw play WXT (that’s one of my top 5 albums, man)

I’d also be more down if Ween played Chocolate & Cheese instead (since it’s the 25th anniversary) but The Mollusk is still cool.

I’m also proud of myself that I predicted a good chunk of these bands

are we still lucky to be here? Prestigious

Pkew X 3 will probably be the secret headliner at the pizza party afterwards wherever the hell it's being held this year.

i could definitely see B-52s with Berlin & OMD as one of the aftershows... also there's a bunch of non-related Riot shows in Chicago that weekend (Morrissey, Of Monsters & Men, etc)
