Scars On Broadway seem likely: System of a Down Guitarist Talks First Solo Music in Eight Years

Will Scars on Broadway be touring?
We don't have anything set, but if good opportunities come our way to do something cool or open up for bigger bands, I'm very open to touring. We're planning on doing some shows, but there are no dates or anything.

That definitely seems feasible. Especially if they're writing/recording an album right now.

Riot Fest has been very active today sassing people over the lineup.
I have a strong feeling we’ll get something this week

Yeah I’m expecting a “the lineup is coming at 10am tomorrow” either tomorrow or Wednesday

I just hope they're direct about it. "Line-up coming at 10am CST tomorrow!" There's nothing worse than a festival account posting something like "We have something for you tomorrow..." and then it's an announcement for an announcement or some shit.

I did just have a funny thought, though: How great would it be if the Twitter account just tweeted "OOPS!" with the poster? That would be a totally on brand way of announcing the line-up. Wouldn't build hype, but... I'd laugh.

^That doesn't surprise me as they sponsored a post on Facebook about A Perfect Circle's new album last week IIRC.

Not personally thrilled if they take a headlining spot, but I've never actually listened to them so I'll give them a fair chance. Always other people I can see too

I don't think A Perfect Circle would be a headliner. At Rock on the Range they're billed under Tool, Avenged Sevenfold, Alice in Chains, and Godsmack (but above Stone Sour, Breaking Benjamin, and Stone Temple Pilots).

If it were their only festival performance of the year I could see that maybe but they're doing quite a bit so... Maybe 2nd line on the poster and playing second to last on the main stage in that New Order slot?

James Iha having an insanely busy year between this and Pumpkins. Might see him twice in a month then! Haha

A Perfect Circle will probably be a second to last Main Stage band - like Prophets of Rage or New Order was last year.

Jenny Lewis is playing a couple shows in Colorado with Beck in September. If he really does end up playing, I wouldn't be surprised to see her end up on the lineup too.

James Iha actually isn’t playing with APC for their upcoming spring/summer dates because of Smashing Pumpkins commitments. Greg Edwards (Failure/Autolux) is filling in for him.

Although I’m not sure if James is playing the fall/winter dates just announced. I’m crossing my fingers though

  19. I’d love this (almost as much as I’d love a Rilo Kiley reunion).

Imagine if Riot Fest pulled that off haha that would be truly as amazing, but yes I'd just love Jenny to be there, in whatever form that is (solo, album performance, Rilo Kiley reunion, or even Nice As Fuck would all get me excited)

I hate to beat a dead horse, but My Chemical Romance seems too likely...

I wish, but I just don't think it's time yet. I still think we're several years away from that reunion (though I strongly believe it will happen one day).

Imagine all the single day tickets they’d sell if they got a MCR reunion...

My Chemical Romance could absolutely 1000% do their own reunion tour. There isn't any reason for them to headline Riot right now.
