And we did confirm that The Flatliners are the headliner for that thing, right?

All but an official confirmation. Flats are headlining a show in Kzoo inn friday and play RF on Sunday. The press release hints that it will be "monumental" when describing the headliner, which is maybe the best known Flats song. I think someone mentioned the poster featured their old font as well. There's also a Blue Jays hat on the poster but Pkew x3 is playing and also from
    Toronto.

Damn, Toronto has a great music scene but I feel like between all the festivals and cool, smaller events, Chicago's where it's at. Won't be making it down for Riot Fest this year after going the last two years.

Waiting for the PUP/Dirty Nil/PKEWx3/Deforesters show to make it all better and justify my geographic decision.

It just dawned on me that we haven't gotten a map yet this year. Any thoughts? Think it'll change much from last year?

Looks like it was pretty easy getting around...

Is it too soon to say that it's looking like the weather is going to be perfect this year, or what? Hah. Seriously. Low 70s with some cloud coverage. Starting to get really stoked!

It's fine that you said this but just know now that if it rains/weather sucks it will 110% be your fault.

I was waiting till someone else made the first weather comment so that I can be absolved of blame for talking about it.

That being said the 10-15 day forecast means absolutely nothing in Chicago lol.

Anything not bolded means I haven't decided/might not be at the fest yet/am otherwise winging it.

Thursday (night before): Jay Som @ Subterranean
(I know this has nothing to do with Riot Fest but I'm excited for a nice chill evening the night before).

    Friday:
Skating Polly -> Tobacco -> INVSN -> Liars -> X -> The Hotelier -> Chon (until 5:20/5:25) -> The Story So Far (I have to for my friend) -> Mayday Parade (until Jersey) -> Vic Mensa -> Nine Inch Nails

    Friday (after fest):
    ???

    Saturday:
Slaves -> The Smith Street Band -> Fishbone -> Peaches -> (beer & bathroom break) -> FIDLAR -> Bad Brains (5:20-5:40) -> The Lawrence Arms -> New Found Glory -> At-the Drive In (whatever I can catch) -> Queens of the Stone Age

Saturday (after fest): Pop Punk Pizza Party

    Sunday:
Beach Slang -> Hot Water Music -> end of Real Friends (I'll catch Culture Abuse on the Joyce Manor tour) -> Say Anything -> The Menzingers -> Cap'n Jazz (5:05-5:25) -> Pennywise -> Best Coast -> Paramore -> Jawbreaker (9:05-10)

Sunday (after fest): Taking Back Sunday @ Bottom Lounge

Come say hi during any of this (except maybe Paramore because I'm not sure if I want to meet anyone while I'm crying & please don't tell the Twitter guy I said that).

Thursday night: The Ataris -> Don't Break Down: A Film About Jawbreaker

    Friday: Skating Polly ->INVSN/HDBEENDOPE -> Warm Brew -> Radar State -> X -> Buzzcocks ->Death From Above/Dirty Heads -> The Cribs -> New Order/Nothing More -> Nine Inch Nails

Friday (After fest): New Found Glory with Bayside and Radar State

Saturday: RVIVR -> Turnspit -> Fishbone/Knuckle Puck -> Dead Cross -> Bayside -> Potty Mouth -> The Lawrence Arms -> Gogol Bordello (until 6:50 or so) -> Wu-Tang Clan (until 8:45) -> Queens of the Stone Age

Saturday (After Fest): Maybe that pop-punk pizza party

Sunday: Engine 88 -> Beach Slang -> Hot Water Music -> That Dog (until 2:50 or so) -> Mighty Mighty Bosstones or Say Anything (TBD) -> The Menzingers -> The Flatliners -> Mad Caddies -> Dinosaur Jr. -> Prophets of Rage -> Jawbreaker

Sunday (After Fest): Taking Back Sunday

It's going to be a gametime decision whether I watch the Bosstones or Say Anything, and I might check-out some Minus the Bear before Mad Caddies depending on the stage set-ups. Same with Paramore--I might try to catch some of their set depending on how Prophets of Rage are (and, given that I'm seeing them in Boston this Thursday a few songs might be enough just to see them in a bigger setting).

Say Anything v. MMB is tough for me. I'm seeing SA in December at both of those album shows, but I've been listening to them a LOT lately. But I've never seen Bosstones, yet I only REALLY want to see one song from them.

  24. The Bosstones are spectacular live and it will be a super fun show even if you're only looking forward to one song.

    My schedule for the weekend:

Thursday night: Playing the Burlington pre-Riot Fest party.
Friday: Grayscale -> Like Pacific -> Sleep On It -> Radar State -> The Hotelier -> probably CHON -> maybe the end of The Story So Far -> Mayday Parade -> Nine Inch Nail
Saturday: RVIVR -> The Smith Street Band -> Knuckle Puck -> some of Dead Cross and/or Bayside -> The Lawrence Arms -> probably some of Gogol Bordello and some of New Found Glory -> At the Drive-In -> end of Streetlight Manifesto -> maybe the end of Taking Back Sunday
Sunday: part of Beach Slang and most of Downtown Boys -> Hot Water Music -> end of Real Friends -> Mighty Mighty Bosstones -> Cap'n Jazz -> Min the Bear -> Dinosaur Jr -> Paramore -> Jawbreaker
