That would never happen, nothing to worry about there haha

You're probably right, though I have to admit it would be a nightmare scenario for me. Nothing but terrible experiences at TSSF shows since 2011

It wouldn't make sense because they both would sell whatever venue they play out on their own. But yeah I hear ya

Also really hoping we get that announcement tomorrow. Seems likely since Fest second wave is coming Wednesday

are we still lucky to be here? Prestigious

I'd go to a Menzingers Riot Fest pre-show. I'd avoid that gig like the plague if TSSF is playing.

I caught TSSF at Warped last year because they were the last band to play. They were very bad.

When Under Soil and Dirt came out I really liked them but musically they've declined a lot. Their live shows are crazy crowd wise but they are terribly boring performers. And then all of the Parker Cannon shittiness also turned me off from them.

I heard Daughters when that record came out and immediately was able to determine they were asshats haha. But yeah, Parker did not move a muscle. I'm still not convinced that he wasn't a marionette puppet and that the guy who was supposed to control him fell asleep in the van.

Yeah looking back a lot of those lyrics are very shitty. It's weird because you would think with how into hardcore he is he would be a better frontman. The rest of the band is also very boring

What? That's got to be the earliest they've ever sold out (or almost sold out) right? I mean I know there's still single days but this seems quick. Good for them!

Yeah it's say right next to it on the ticket page (almost sold out) and 3 day passes usually don't ever sell out until like right before the fest

Wonder how much of it has to do with the lineup vs. people just being more familiar with the festival and planning on going every year (I'm sure both play a factor).

yeah i just got mine on the lay away plan. ive been every year except last year since its turned into a 3 day festival. this is going to be a busy year for me as im going to lolla and riot. i just paid off my 4 day passes for lolla yesterday!

Yea I've gone every year since it's been outside (although in 2012 I literally just went to see Chiodos - I've always regretted not staying the whole day), so it's exciting to see it continue to grow. I get free tickets through my Dad's work though, so it makes me a little nervous that if it gets too big he won't be able to get those anymore haha, but I'd gladly pay anyway. This'll be my 3rd year of doing Lolla and Riot Fest. It's definitely a lot to take on but it's so worth it!

Dead Cross (new project featuring Mike Patton of Faith No More, Dave Lombardo formerly of Slayer) just announced tour dates with a 9/16 Riot Fest date.

Guessing second wave is just around the corner...

This Wednesday, now that they can officially announce Sum 41 (and maybe Bleachers... I can dream).

money was my issue last year. i waited and waited and waited and never got tixs. i bought tixs to prophets of rage the first week of september then the following week i was at blink 182/adtr so all my money went to those concerts. i didnt make that same mistake this year. plus the lineup this year is better imo then last year outside of thursday and underoath but i saw both. saw underoath on there reunion tour and just saw thursday a few weeks ago

Haha yea I get it, like I said I get free Riot Fest tickets, so luckily I never had to worry about that. I do think I like this year's lineup a little more overall, except that Motion City Soundtrack's final performances were a part of last year, so that alone was worth any money I did or could have potentially spent haha

i wish i could get free tixs. lol. but august and september are going to drain me. cuz im going to all 4 days of lolla might go to offspring also might go to linkin park. and im going to greenday at wrigley and im on the floor so...lots of money lots of lost sleep and lots of ear ringing going to be happening

Haha I'll also be floor at Wrigley for Green Day, and I got tickets to Linkin Park (they were $15 on groupon when I got them, and last I saw they were $20, so it might be worth checking out). Still deciding on the Offspring. I probably wouldn't go see them alone and I wouldn't see Sublime With Rome alone, but together I'm intrigued.

Didn't realize Fest's second wave was Wednesday. Wonder if that means we have to wait for Riot Fest... Smaller fest, but potential they might not want to directly compete for attention on the same day.

^If anything that would be out of respect to Fest... haha It's also possible there's some overlap? Bands want to announce both dates at once? I'm just hopeful haha

They were already on the first wave. So I don't think that is any indication of when the next wave is coming.

I hear you. I'm so excited about Jawbreaker that I keep forgetting that bad brains and gbh are playing. So every time I look at the poster I remember and am like oh yeah that's pretty cool.
