Wrecking Ball pre-shows and after-shows. I wouldn't mind a Thursday Riot Fest after show.

The only thing I want is a SYG aftershow on Friday but I doubt it happens

Also didn't realize we have to wait until August for after shows ugh

Seeing as to how Brand New is ~supposedly~ breaking up very soon...there's no way the fest organizers are so cruel as to schedule them at the same time as Motion City Soundtrack who are also playing their last shows?

I' really hoping that brand new conflicts with social distortion and maybe motion city conflicts with Fitz & the tantrums, best case scenario for me, I think, even if it means a Moz / death cab conflict at the end which i assume is inevitable anyways

This is all I care about. They have never been that cruel in the past, and this would cause a HUGE outrage. I just so wish MCS was Friday and could truly headline without any issue. I would love them at 6-7, BN at 7:30-8:30, and then Moz 8:30-10 or so. Don't know how long a set to expect from him.

This would be best case scenario for me. I wasn't super impressed with Brand New when I saw them before but I have never seen MCS or Morrisey and would like to see both but Social D is one of my all time favorite bands so I would prefer to not skip them even if I'm not super stoked about which album they are playing.

There are 4-7 bands I want to see per day. I sure hope I don't have any conflicts.

There are a bunch of neat acts for sure, just none that really get me floored. It depends on what gets you going, of course, but I just wish riot fest had more of a Bamboozle mentality and threw in some more curveballs. Like bands like Cranberries or acts like Alanis Morisette, or legendary rock acts like Aerosmith or REM... sure those acts might be expensive as hell, but it's those type of "once in a lifetime" acts that would get me to fly to chicago for this thing.

also the way they split it up..haha it's TOO even for me. If they jam packed one of the days with all the acts i wanted to see, i'd definitely do one day, but 3-4 bands per day isn't enough for me.

the festival is still staying true to its roots so i'm still totally proud of them

Will any of the three bands on the I the Mighty headliner get announced for Riot Fest too?

  14. EASheartsVinyl

    Prestigious Prestigious

I bet they will. The tour poster didn't seem to say, "ONLY I the Mighty" anywhere for the RF date, although I may have missed it.

I also want to mention that I am really happy with how the Green Team prize has turned out. I felt a bit like I wasted my Sunday last year with how stingy and picky they were with filling the bags and how I had to go above and beyond what I felt was necessary, BUT they have been great with emailing updates now that it's time. I was able to pick my date and they allowed me to change the will call name to someone else since I already have my holiday presale, and that made my respect jump up a lot. I was worried they would hassle me, but now my mom gets to see Moz for free!!

If anyone thinks they will have a lot of downtime this year, go ahead and pick a bag up. Worst case scenario you pick up some trash.

Somos announced a headlining tour. The poster lists them as playing Riot Fest on the 16th but there aren't dates for the 17th or 18th.

I was thinking maybe they just listed the first day of Riot Fest but might play Saturday or Sunday.

Set Your Goals will be doing a Mutiny! 10 year tour. I bet Riot Fest will be the Chicago date.

No, they're on the Friday lineup. But they might have something else as a surprise I guess.

Like a full US/North American tour for Mutiny? Thought them doing a full tour was sort of debunked a while back?

Set Your Goals just announced they will be performing Mutiny! at the San Diego Warped Tour date. Someone on Facebook asked if they will make it a national tour and they replied YES!.

Jason Zoblin Can you do this as a national tour?

3-day passes are up to $210 (final tier). Glad I got my early bird pass for $100.

All the Friday passes (single and two day) are still on the first tier. It could have to do with people working on Friday.

Just got invited to a wedding in Hungary on September 17th. For some reason I thought this was the week before and was totally convinced I could so both, not that I could ever afford that haha. Still might do a Friday/Saturday or at least just a Friday ticket since they're still that cheap.

Andrew W.K. will be doing a spoken word show at Revolution Brewing on the 15th.
