Flogging Molly is doing a tour in August and there isn't a Chicago date.

Motion City Soundtrack added more dates but still no Chicago one.

And what about 90s pop punk/pop rock bands bands like Lit, Eve 6, or Everclear?

The mud and rain made last year so uncomfortable.

And that's why I hope blink/ADTR doesn't come to Riot Fest. I would rather see them in an amphitheater.

    Bands not playing Riot Fest:

    Bayside
    The Menzingers
    Sorority Noise

This is why I haven't bought a ticket for this year. I need to see the lineup first.

I used to buy the tickets blind for Riot Fest but I'm burned out on it.

Menzingers' absence shifts the scale of my money firmly towards Fest 15, but I'll wait 'til the lineup comes out to be sure.

That's how I feel but I bought a ticket. I can't say that I'm as excited as I have been in year's past though.

That's where I was last year.

I am going to multiple festivals this summer and Riot Fest is at the bottom of the list in terms of how excited I am for them.

Oh, I'm burned out on festivals overall. Yes, you pay little up front for a lot of music but you end up spending way more money for what turns out to usually be a lackluster weekend because of transit, food and drink in the festival, and other intangibles that you forget about.

    Give what you can.

Anyone have a list of all the bands that are all but confirmed?

Edit: I'll just keep one here, and if anyone has one to add or a reason why one probably won't happen, just let me know.

Double Edit: Started off weak but made a solid comeback.

Deftones are pretty much a guarantee. I'd also bet on At the Drive In and Fitz and the Tantrums.

    I think blink/ADTR will play.

Good call on Deftones. I hope you're right about ATDI, but they've got two shows at The Riviera in May so that makes me a little doubtful about them.

ATDI will not be playing. I'm sure of that.

I would hope Thursday is a possibility.

Sum 41 is definitely playing this. im sure we've discussed that. Flogging sounds like a sure thing too.

Masked Intruder and Bigwig are playing chicago in may..would loveeeee to get them back for riotfest

Masked Intruder and Sum 41 are also doing Warped Tour. I would think Sum 41 would do a headlining tour in the fall to support their new album.

Yeah I'd think that Warped Tour would probably be a conflict of interest with Sum41 and Masked. I was thinking the same for TBS and the Taste of Chaos as well since that's also in Chicago in July, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since they've become one of those every year bands.
