Nah, Your Age genuinely rules and the whole album makes for a great listen.

Finally got round to listening to this and I didn't like it anywhere near as much as her debut apart from a few standout moments scattered across the album unfortunately. It does suck as I still think her debut is one of the best pop albums in recent years so I was really looking forward to HTG.

The more I listen to this album, the more it grows on me. I can completely understand why someone wouldn't like it as much as SAWAYAMA, I would say this one probably isn't as fun of a listen. I'm still in love with HTG though and I'll need much more time with it to see how it compares to SAWAYAMA for me.

FYI there's a bonus disc of this album with a 18-track live set

Had a harder than expected time getting through a full listen of this one, just kept losing interest. Even the more standout songs are affected by the album's slower start, but it gains a lot of steam in the back half. I don't outright dislike much, but nothing really swings for the fences like her debut did. Hoping it grows on me; Your Hell, Hurricanes, Send My Love to John, and Phantom were my favorite tracks. Maybe after resetting my expectations I'll find more to like here.

  10. seeing her Saturday, setlist seems to be heavy on the new record as expected so I'm glad I saw her last year for the SAWAYAMA deep cuts

  11. UNREAL GOOD SHOW DAAAAAMN

great setlist, hopefully the last time I see her in a venue this size. Rina deserves the awards, acclaim and audience someone like the 1975 have, tbh.

It's a good pop album - not a patch on the debut but what is?

Disappointed to see her leaning so heavily on the new material in her live set - and leaving Chosen Family out for an inferior ballad like Phantom or Send my Love... seems a bit mad to me but hey ho

Going to see her tomorrow and sure it'll still be a great night

Yeah, her debut is easily one of my favourite pop albums of the last decade or more.

I pretty much forgot this dropped. Such a bummer

  15. after Saturday it may crack my top 10 for the year - no mean feat considering how ridiculous 2022 has been for music

  16. Seems like I'm in the minority prefering this one over the debut. I just think this one flows much better even though I do sometimes miss the genre hopping of its predecessor.

i'm in the same boat. feels more cohesive and focused, while still branching out into new territories.

Anyone have a pop playlist of Halloweenish themed songs? Frankenstein is perfect for it along with the Turn Off the Light album from Kim Petras
