Her going off about Dirk Gently for no reason is pretty bizarre

There's nothing bizarre about seeing a conversation about sexism and chiming in by talking about gross, sexist trends in storytelling.

The show isn't sexist, I'm guessing you haven't watched it though.

No, I'm not interested in Landis' work, but that's not the point. I don't care about the nuanced analysis of the entire television series. Someone observed something they thought was problematic about the beginning of the series, and Lexi Alexander used that as a springboard to talk more about that issue in popular storytelling. Nothing she's said is wrong, regardless of what happens as that particular series goes on.

What that person said they observed wasn't true though.

I don't care about Max Landis. I don't care about Lexi Alexander not liking him.

That tweet was a good tweet about representation in media, so I put it in this thread dedicated to representation in media, which is a much better topic than to what degree the hate crybaby Landis gets is or isn't deserved.

I wasn't disagreeing with the tweet itself, just think it's weird that it was implicitly about a show that that criticism doesn't apply to.

Well you see, Mr Hightower is trash.

  25. Apparently, not all POC are on the same side. I guess I was naive to think that just because he isn't white he gets it.
