There was some buzz around the doc at first, but it featured Michael Egan who withdrew his testimony against the men he accused, and he was sent to prison for (unrelated) fraud so I think ppl automatically discredited the entire thing. Like Corey Feldman talks about this all the time. I think even Shirley Temple talked about it in her book. It's a giant boy's club and they all protect each other and it's horrific

Like Victor Salva is still working. Brian Peck is still working. Polanski is constantly defended. How??

 

I didn't know he withdrew...and yeah that makes sense that people discredited it because it's easier to do that than to face the highly disturbing reality that is taking place in hollywood. And yeah I have been vaguely familiar with corey feldman's claims for a while now although he is always vague. I would love to read Shirley Temple's book although it might break my heart.
It really was like a stab in the chest when I saw that video and saw Ben Savage.
Anyway look up Dan Schnieder. Full disclosure, they are only rumors but I have come to my own conclusions for many reasons. If you google him and look through the pictures there are just so many disturbing ones that make you question why he would pose with a minor that way. I have also seen videos of him with his shows' stars and they make me uncomfortable. The rest is definitely rumor mill but he apparently spent a LOT of time with Amanda Bynes and some claim he is the reason she is dealing with mental issues now...and SOME even claim he is the father of Jamie Lynn Spears baby. (Not saying I believe this but the resemblance between them IS uncanny.) Anyway sorry I got on a rant there. Again to be clear, these are RUMORS I've heard and I am not presenting them as fact. Just want to put that disclaimer.
By the way I have never heard of Victor Salva so I'm diving into that rabbit hole now to learn about it.

 

Yeah unfortunately I think corey has to be vague cause he's worried about being sued and he prob has no physical evidence anymore to back it up. I get so upset about corey Haim tho. I've heard all those rumors of Dan but haven't ever looked into it since I don't wanna speculate about who has been abused if they haven't come forward themselves, idk

 

Related it's messed up that Gary Glitter is still played in stadiums and covered on Glee when he's abused so many children, yeah I think Corey as well as River Phoenix and Nick Carter developed substance abuse issues because they were abused as children and it's so sad

 

Exactly, which is messed up that he has to worried about being sued for telling the truth. Or at the least, getting black billed from hollywood and never working again.
That's fair. I can see where you're coming from. I kinda feel like when it's children though, they may never have the ability to come forward and society should be looking out for them. At the least society should be saying "hey I see your behavior and it's not right." if he willingly posts pictures of the kids in his lap and stuff, then I shudder to think what he does in private.

also I had never heard of that Gary Glitter guy but holy WOW is that disturbing. I of course realized the song you're talking about and it's quite sad that it's made by him as it is definitely considered a classic. All I can say is that I guess it's because he is not really associated with it. People know that song but they have no idea who it's by so it's not exactly celebrating him? Idk thats all I can think of.

Victor Salva is a piece of human trash and there was any decency in the world, Jeepers Creepers 3 would never be in production. The fact that people ignore what he did is horrifying. Like I straight up had heated debates with people in comment sections in articles about JC3's trouble production and it was basically like, they acknowledge that he's a predator and did a fucked up thing but they basically don't care because they want another JC that bad. Oh and no, just because you went to jail for that crime, it doesn't mean that you should be given another chance in an industry that employs children.

 

Seriously? Wow. I don't think there should be a JC3 either, now that I know this! I even feel guilty for watching Jeepers Creepers last month and enjoying it.
I mean yes he went to jail and "did the time" but agreed doesn't mean he has to be employed or celebrated in that industry. Even if JC doesn't cast any children it's still so gross who would want to work with him?
I ask as several other abusers still have people willing to work with them...

 

I know it's the basis for a lot of horror, but Jeepers Creepers being about an obsessed predator that stalks young people makes Salva's involvement so much creepier to me. I'm prob just projecting with what I know about him but dude wrote it and the villain has parallels to himself and I'm just like blegh

 

Like you said, it is the basis for a lot of horror films. Were the characters in it adults or teenagers? Either way like you said once you know about him you can't help but draw parallels
