I'm going to spend a lot of time with this album.

 

I said in here I think that would be a much stronger opener but the rest of the changes feel like they'd be awful to me. I really like the track list other than Bummin' as the opener.

 

I don't know. I don't really. I can recognize pitch in music, but not really notes or chords. I don't really get it. Like I make music, and I can definitely differentiate within my own writing, but anyone else's I am completely lost. hahaha

 

Flower

I'm more impressed with Matt's vocals every moment into this album. Such a gorgeous song.

 

I would just switch them then lol

 

Empty House is really beautiful the auto-tune adds a lot to it

 

Runnin'

Makes me want to run. Fast paced and as agressive as Relient K gets. Such a stellar jam.

Then as I'm typing it makes a shift to what could be a sequel to Deathbed.

 

Marigold

It's got a good groove. Feels led by the drums, with perfectly cheesy lyricism.

 

Prodigal

Those who don't want any Jesus with their Relient K will be turned off, but I love this one on first listen.

"Sweet Jesus, I was comin' to praaaAAAY!"

 

Prodigal is definitely my least favorite.

 

Heartache

What an awesome closer. Captures all the elements of this album's sound. Perfect.

 

Gonna be jammin' this one a lot for the rest of the summer.

This album just makes me feel joy, and that's hard to come by for my usual taste in music.

 

Love Marigold might be my favorite song on the album so far
(had to pause for a second)

 

I've got a long flight tomorrow, can't wait to listen all the way. You all are getting me pumped!

 

By the way, the supposed 320 out there is very, very obviously a transcode. I regret listening to such a low quality leak, but whatever, I couldn't figure out their press contact to try and set up an advance, so it is what it is

 

It should be streaming on Pandora tomorrow.

Only one I'm not into so far is Elephant Parade. This is a huge improvement over Collapsible Lung.

Still will never even come anywhere near touching FANSD for me (2nd favorite album ever)

It's bizarre and disappointing especially because they are still touring heavily and making albums - they could be a lot more successful if they added that aspect.

 

Yeah, I don't know what's up with them.

 

I've said it before, but this bands marketing is worse than Brand New's.
