I think that's one of the reasons I'm so bumm(in')ed. Hoppes said on Instagram a month or so ago there would be CD presale so I figured that meant I'd be able to get the CD by release day like the people who ordered vinyl and digital. Ah well, someone was nice and sent me a FLAC download of the album to hold me over.

There are a lot of tracks on here that remind me of Jukebox the Ghost, which is a good thing!

looks like they probably won't have actual CD's for a while then, if at all.

Haven't actually listened to it this way yet but the vinyl tracklisting seems way better

    Can confirm.

Vinyl track listing is superior and flows better.

Love this album even more now.

Goddamn it. haha This is my least favorite album cycle in awhile, the bad marketing, lack of CD or any distribution, the disaster on the Vinyl end, just weird. It's weird to me that Gotee was fine with all of those things that are within the realm of control.

Except they're not with Gotee anymore, they're with Mono vs Stereo which, if I understand things correctly, they basically run.

Edit: Just looked it up and MvS is an imprint of Gotee so nevermind.

Show was really great. Locked in how much I love these new songs. They played everything from AFF except Man, God and Prodigal.

Then they did a 10+ song encore and played some hits. Mostly Mmhmm and FANSD but also Come Right Out, Don't Blink and Chapped Lips.

Line up was the Matts, Dave, Tom and Mark Lee Townsend (their long time producer) which was awesome.

You could tell they were having a blast. Packed house. Also a lot of cameras and mics. So we'll see about that.

I talked to Tom before the show and mentioned the Marigold intro and he looked genuinely surprised that it even existed haha.

It was a great night. Best I've ever seen them.

I loved Look On Up, and it makes me wonder, it could probably fit right in this album. Like right before or after Empty House.

Some songs are now growing on me, like Cat and God. I'd add Local Construction to my favorite tracks in the album. Even Mrs. Hippo, a song I couldn't even relate to, gets me chanting O-H-AYE-OH while doing chores. Quite infectious.

Prodigal, though, is still both a miss and a hit for me. Opening lines made me cringe, but then enters the "I am the champion of wine..." part, which I adore. What a weird song.

"...nothing but the sun in your eyes..." gets me every time. Kinda reminds me of I Don't Need A Soul. Which is good since I love that song too.

I don't think I'll tire of listening to this album for a while. Just good that I can't really explain why.

Wow! What an awesome set list. Almost makes me wish they had just played the whole new album.

Really hope a live album/dvd comes out of it.

Yeah I thought the same thing haha. There has to be something with all those mics/cameras.

Couple great (paraphrased) quotes from Matt.

"It's really unusual but great to be releasing this album and hear everyone singing along to all these new songs so loudly."

"People always ask what my favorite show I've ever played is. I think we're in the middle of it right now."

That was right after he introduced Mark Lee Townsend. First show he had ever played with them entirely.

All their families were there too. And the hometown element.

But I've seen them before where they almost seemed like they were just getting through it. But they were having a great time. You could
    just tell. Thiessen was hilarious.

During the break between the encore people were chanting "10 more songs" and they came back out and said "you asked for 10 more songs so we'll do it."

And obviously that encore had the place so loud and energetic.

Obviously from my rambling here I really loved the show.

Show sounds like it was a blast! Has anyone else noticed though that's they've seemed to have phased out Sadie Hawkins?

Listened to this in full, in HQ, in the vinyl tracklisting, and it's awesome. That order just seems to make more sense and paces the songs out much more effectively. I think I love every song on here; this is a really, really good recovery from CL.

Also forgot to mention that they said at the show they shot a music video for Mountaintop. So looks like that will be their next single.

I remember when I saw them on the Mmhmm tour and they did the encore of the hits. The whole place went nuts.

They really are so great live. Need to see them with Switchfoot in September.

I'm still thinking about the sequencing of this album. I'll have to listen to the regular tracklisting again because I only listened to it on the leak which wasn't great quality but this album grabbed me so much more when I listened to the vinyl tracklisting. It just flows better. There are a few songs, like Mrs. Hippo and Elephants, that I liked but felt dragged the album down and didn't fit when I first heard it. In the vinyl l tracklisting, every song makes sense to me and it feels much more cohesive. I have both on my phone because I'm neurotic like that but we'll see which one I end up listening to more.

I remember on Facebook a little while back the band posted that they spent a lot of time sequencing this album and that they had a tough time with it. I think Hoopes came up with the vinyl version. One thing I love is that the closing track is the same on both versions - if they were different I think that would really bother me, ha.

    I do not exist.

I have finally had opportunity to spend some time with the album and I can confirm that I absolutely love it. It's a fantastic release and I'm very thankful for that!

I need to listen to the vinyl tracklist. I love the idea of LC first but a lot of the other changes don't look good to me.
