Anyone ever experience a situation where you feel like a friend of yours doesn’t seem to be happy for you (and your relationship with your SO). Because that’s how I’m feeling right now

I had a situation with a friend where there was this guy and we weren't even together but there was some chemistry and flirting and she got super weird about it. Idk if it's cause I've never dated since we've been friends so she was worried I wouldn't have time for her if I dated or cause she felt insecure? Idk. She kept saying I was making a huge mistake and she'll tell me I told you so when it fails and that she must know me better than I know myself. I was like damn sis it's not even that srs chill. It's made me wonder how she'll be if I ever date seriously.

I've also been on the flip side. My friend knows I never like her bfs and I do make it known, but after that I try to support her so she knows she can come to me if she needs and I don't like harp on it

 

This is not a good defense. Would you live in a glass box say, the size of a extremely large house, but we justify you living there, never leaving, because we give you the best life possible? IE, good food. Because what else are you truly giving these animals that constitutes the "best life possible?"

Yup. We, as parents, decided we won't let our kid go to aquariums or zoo's.

It just seems so weird to me, I haven't known this friend for that long. Like, this is the first guy I've had a serious relationship with. All the guys is the past turned out to be jerks or just were't interested, and maybe I even pushed away some potential ones. Anyway, I kinda made a post about it recently, but this friend comes off more jealous than happy for me. Other friends of mine have been waiting for me to meet a good guy and are happy. I have my reasons of speculation why I think she's jealous. My SO has been great to me so its not like theres any reason to dislike him.

 

So here's how weird my life is. My ex (from 5 years ago) just got engaged to the kid she cheated on me with who also used to be my best friend until I started dating her because he had dated her prior. I'm happy for them lol. Honestly. When me and her were dating she had no business dating me, I was in the peaks of my addiction and been away in Florida for months.

i was just asked by a beautiful woman to grab drinks next weekend. i said yes, not really knowing what the implications were. we are casual acquaintances and we got to know each other a little better at a board game night at my buddy's this weekend. it is now very clear this is a date thing. she sent me a very sweet flattering message. i don't know how to navigate this. pretty blindsided.
