also, this kind of builds off of what I was saying in the WoW thread lol but I've just been thinking about it and been like well all kinds of relationships end in all kinds of really fucked up ways. Which at first made me feel better like, it could definitely be worse etc. but then it just made me feel like...yeah the dating scene these days is hopeless. I genuinely don't feel like there are any "good" guys out there anymore, if you choose to date it's like you're choosing to be lied to or cheated on or whatever. you're choosing to get hurt. and since I'm not "conventionally attractive" that already makes my dating pool so small. It's just a lot of hassle and it's just not worth it. I don't want to ever feel this way again.

 

All of us have been in your shoes. You don't need a partner to be happy, if you feel that way, you should step back and focus on you (as corny as that sounds). You have to love yourself and be happy with you, your time alone, yourself as a person, etc.

the office was gathering after work for a goodbye party, or a birthday party, or something like that, and one of the girls i talk to on a pretty regular basis (at the office, never outside of work) was like, "can you be my work husband for tonight? everyone else i talk to is bringing their husbands so i'm going to be all alone." i wasn't planning on going to this work outing because, idk, i don't like work outings even though my office / coworkers are great, so i said no.

but omg guys! like wouldn't that be suuuuuuch a cute story to tell our friends and family! that we got together one night at a work gathering while pretending to be a couple and then we turn into one?!?!?!?! aren't there like 45 rom-coms about that VERY THING happening?!?!?!?!?! how CUTE would the wedding stories beeeeee!




ironically enough, because i overthink everything, this thought crossed my mind immediately after being asked to go as a "work husband" and further cemented me not going to the gathering just in case some shit like this would potentially happen.

I was watching the hallmark channel recently and the plot of the movie legit incensed me. It was about a woman trying to start up a business in pdx staying in this beautiful apt so I'm like okay sis ur clearly bad at starting a business so is this like a trust fund kid apt or what. Cause that's annoying off the get go cause I can't afford a nice apt in pdx so neither should she. And then she wanted to adopt a dog and was being rly annoying about it not needing structure or boundaries. The unrealistically handsome adoption guy and her kept arguing about it and she was being rly annoying and stubborn and dumb about how she thinks dogs should be raised. It was unbearable. I think they were going for a cute quirky tee hee they don't get a long but will fall in love banter But she was just completely unreasonable about dog training.

so i was walking outta work last night and could've sworn i saw Jenn (my "one that got away" ive mentioned in the past) on the concourse. couldn't be sure because she was super bundled up but i couldn't shake it. i eventually decided the chances were stupid slim and dropped it. like an hour later it hit me that her sister works at the credit union right where i saw her and now i am like 99% sure it was her. we have seen each other a couple of times in public since splitting but it was right after the split and we both avoided each other.

i had a text drafted that basically said "pretty sure i saw you at SEFCU today, and if not i saw someone that called you to mind. sorry for the way things worked out and how we treated each other. hope you're doing well". i sat there til like 11 o'clock before deciding not to send it.
