I've been on her end of that scenario before. Well, I didn't ask for the playlist. This girl I was friends with in college at the time (2010) that liked me knew I was gonna go see a girl at University of Maryland that I really liked/was gonna tell her how I feel, so she made me a playlist for my roadtrip. However, fate intervened in the form of a snowstorm so I couldn't go to UMD and ended up hanging out with my friend more and realized what a catch she was, and we ended up dating shortly after haha

I just realized that the "experiential" portion of my christmas gift for my gf all takes place next saturday, 2 days after I'm having 3 dental extractions done. I'm gonna be feeling fucking miserable haha it'll be worth it though.

 

What's everyone's cutoff for ghosting? I went on 4 dates with this girl that I thought went really well, and we had a 5th planned for tonight. But I haven't heard from her in a week, so it's pretty obvious tonight's date isn't happening.

I feel 100% disrespected and hurt. Am I crazy for thinking that is beyond the reasonable threshold for ghosting?

Yeah, nothing too crazy. Just a couple text messages throughout the week and I tagged her in a cute dog video on Facebook.

did you talk quite a bit inbetween the other dates? but that is unfortunate, i think most people have been in that situation at some point. you could always just send her a short text asking if you two were still on for the date? otherwise you could leave it, honestly it is up to you and if you think it is worth pursing and reaching out.

i do not get why people ghost. the last girl that i went on a couple of dates with but wasn't into a couple of years ago, i at least sent her a text letting her know what was going on and that i hadn't given myself enough time after breaking up with my ex... and then i blocked her number. i'm aware that's fucked up in it's own right but i feel it's something.

that girl who I started texted a few months ago just as friends, who ghosted for a whole month, just texted me. said she thinks about texting me a lot but she hasn't had the time to write out a response to our conversation that she felt it deserved so, that's cool. I was very close to just writing her off. it was especially odd to me as none of our texts were remotely flirtatious in nature or anything like that but I guess we're good

 

I had this happen to me on Bumble a long time ago but we were talking and planned to meet up for drinks and what not, well she messaged me her number in the app. Well I opened it maybe like 10 minutes after she sent it, and I didn’t care to copy it or anything because I didn’t see why I had to. Well anyways she deleted the convo maybe an hour later when I was gonna text her, it was weird.

 

Bummer man. Thats the worst. I think it’s always fair to put into perspective that the person ghosting may be going through something we have no idea about. You at least need to realize its not a personal attack on you. Because im sure youre like me and have been dissecting everything about every interaction youve had. Don’t stress it and I wouldn’t be surprised if she reaches out soon apologizing.

 

It definitely sucks, but I would also try to remember that it is the holiday season so it could be a whole host of reasons.
