Do you feel like there's anything special there? I wouldn't force it, if not.

 

I thought there was and a lot of the things I enjoy or do or don't want out of a relationship or life was the same as hers.

my friend called me last night after they hung out and said the girl did the whole spiel about how I was cute and funny and all that bullshit but that she's lazy when it comes to relationships and didn't want to waste my time so i am just going let her ghost me and chalk it up as a L. no biggie

 

I dated someone a few months ago who didn't really put any effort into it or text me between dates. Last time she came over she just left after we finished a movie and I never talked to her again. Was weird.

 

like...roll credits... and she grabs her purse and puts on her shoes and says bye? and nothing?


i actually don't mind that at all at the begining. i dont need/want to text every day or hang out every week and especially dont like going out hardly at all. id rather cook for someone at my place and watch a movie or do a puzzle or something and then call it a night and a few days later make plans to do something the next week or week after. im very introverted and need my alone time

 

She got up and we talked for like a minute and she was like "ok well I think I'm gonna go"

We never really clicked much I guess, but when I asked her to hang out she always agreed to

This is probably different from what she said because it sounds totally intentional, but I have so many moments where someone says something stupidly obvious to me and sometimes I want to give them the benefit of the doubt that they just can't think of anything to say atm but a lot of the time it just feels condescending.

Like today I sent my dad a screenshot and he clearly saw that my battery was around 50% because his first text back was "Take advantage of powering up your phone when you can...." like oh shit I never considered that, thank you

 

I'm busily getting absolutely nowhere on Tinder. Nothing like a dating app to kick the stuffing out of your self esteem.

Small mercy last night was some news about the girl who broke up with me shortly before Valentine's day. She went for a girly evening in with some women I'm also friends with. One of them was out with me last night and said that when she explained herself about the "break up" (we weren't really together yet, so not sure what else to call it), her justifications seemed kind of strange and some just didn't make sense. So, while it doesn't change anything (and I'm over the situation anyway), it's nice to know that I wasn't going completely mad when I didn't understand her reasons.

Either that, or my friend suffers a similar psychosis?

 

Tinder isn't really cool anymore, someone needs to invent a new app that's better

 

This is legitimately pretty funny. Reminds me of my good friend's mom who always reminds us to drink water and once wrote, "Eat this, my son" ON the peel of a banana.

 

I guess maybe I should try Tinder or a dating app. I've just always been asked IRL bc a lot of Southerners, atleast down here, think it's bad manners to ask over the phone/text or whatever. None of my IRL dates have worked out. Maybe switch it up a little.

As if distance isn't hard enough, the time difference has changed due to daylight savings starting in England and ending here. It sucks, we already try so hard to find time to be together and now it's going to be even more difficult. I'm committed to him and he's committed to me, but distance is so draining. I'd never ask him to move here and he'd never ask me to move there. Unsure of what the future holds for us and it's weighing on me at the moment

 

oh man I have too many secret single behaviors. Nobody but me goes into my room so it looks like a dumpster fire. I always tell my rm that if I die she has to clean it for me or burn it down or something cause nobody can know I lived this way. I also talk to myself a lot and don't shave my legs in the winter. I actually shaved them yesterday and now I can see all the bruises I have from when kids kick me in the shins. I'm so sexy and desirable where's my line of suitors????

Being on the ~same level of cleanliness is important in a relationship. I've been with cleaner and with messier, and it's always a resentment builder when living together. Luckily I found someone right in my laziness wheelhouse.

 

This is such a quiet deal breaker. I absolutely hate it when people don't wash up dishes properly. Half arsedly rinsing off plates with lukewarm water and dumping them in the drainer. That will not do.

 

for real. I am thorough as fuck when it comes to washing dishes and I don't care how anyone else feels about it.
