I never really got why people needed an app that's just for messaging. Send like they could just message via any other social networking app

 

I assume snapchat would be better but I guess with kik its more anonymous and people don't have your photos to look at. Never heard of whatsapp

 

ya I'm not sure if whatsapp is big in the US. Other than that it's a huge app but it's basically just another messaging platform. Facebook bought it for $22 billion which is insane.

 

Tinder being available in college didn't make anything that ridic. I guess I was used to it so it's wasn't a big deal. Honestly most ppl I know liked swiping and matching more than anything. They kinda treated it like chatroulette almost. Like you'd match with some rando and they'd have an amusing conversation and then get bored and find someone else.

 

this has provided friends and I with hours of hilarious entertainment.

I've never had a straight-ahead hookup with someone I was talking to online, then again I guess I haven't really tried, not even on Tinder.

 

also encountered my first "im just looking for a casual hookup" earlier this week on tinder, kinda speechless because i have never had that situation arise.

I once almost hooked up with a guy who wanted a kid and asked if we could not use a condom. I kicked him out real quick. It was bizarre.

I guess I've hooked up before? It quickly turned into dating and a relationship so I don't really count it.

 

I say it all the time but when I say I have bad luck, I have seriously shitty bad luck.

 

This is the first friends with benefits thing i've been involved with. Seems like it'll be perfect at this point in my life though.

 

In recent years, most of my partners have been from the local swinger's club in Baltimore, so it is nice to have been able to avoid all of the mixed signals that can come with casually hooking up with people, whilst maintaining a primary relationship. It's important to have rules and structures, you know.

 

I had a convo with an ex a couple days about our past relationship, as in we hashed our shit out and came clean with each other. It was nice to do that but the part that gutted me was finding out that she wanted to spend a life with me. I didn't really know what to think about that, still don't. Part of me wishes I was still with her, because I deep downed truly loved her. On the other hand, would I have grown as a person if I didn't? That's been bothering me all weekend.

 

Got bored with tinder so I checked out OKCupid. I'm having more fun answering the questions than I am looking at matches.

lol which is like every weekend for me. being broken up is kinda recent, so i thought going out with friends and what not will help me be busy, but once i'm home she's all i can think of. relationships are weird

 

yeah we talked on tinder probably for like two weeks, then one night during that time she messaged me randomly at 2 am and was like "if you want, i would like to hook up sometime", i initially ignored it because since she was out of it i wasn't sure how serious she was about it. but she messaged me the next morning and apologized, but also said "i don't take back what i said last night if you are interested", so we grabbed drinks at a local brewery later in the week, and things went well.
